Another thing about taming Paleo Gigas. If you damage the wild Gigas rnough, they enter rage mode, which increases the amount of torpor they deal to themselves while also increasing their damage output. Risk/reward factor, if you will. Hope this insight is useful. :)
Great tip! 👍 This is extremely helpful if you are running low on wyvern milk, since it will speed up the process.
Personaly, I would made Evo Gigas, Evo Rex, Tarbo and any other Evo creature from the Paleo mod into a stand alone mod that fully replace their vanilla counterparts. In my opinion Evo Gigas and Evo Rex are world apart from the vanilla.
Also, many vanilla creatures from Ark should've receive a huge TLC/buff, like Araneo climbing walls and producing Webs in inventory (likely a replacement to Silk), breedable Basilisk, breedable and gendered Titanboa, with Hydratation Buff, and many others.
Maybe one day we'll get the TLC's, but first, they need to fix the bugged dinos in ASA
Carcha is super easy to tame, I generally just have about 6-10 diplos that have been sitting in cryo gaining levels for ages. Just put all the levels in health, and they don’t even need to be healed. The health pool dictates the taming percentage. If the rage meter gets to high you just wait for it to go down. In ascended they don’t seem to gain as much rage as they did back in the days I used to tame them a year ago. So very easy to tame now haha
Not sure about tamed gigas but wild gigas seem to revert back to their original damage after theyve already enraged. Aka the damage builds to up to x2, then goes back to x1 after the roar. Dunno if this still applies since i havent played in a couple months. I think this'd make carch damage superior if this were the case
Hmm, I don't remember them going back to 1x last time I played. But I'll double check for both wild and tamed.
Really good vid! Only thing i'd have different is in creature design i'd ahve it equal between the carcar and the evo giga but thats just cause i love the look of the carcar too much haha

It would be interesting to see more paleo creatures in your videos , bcs some of them are diferent and not just reskins of vanilla dinos.
Also will you make vide about deinotheriums another creature from ark additions , i wonder if they are good against bosses , bcs they have buff but i never saw sombody use it in boss arenas
I'll probably cover more dinos from these 2 mods, but it depends on a few factors. Though, I have already planned most of the content that I want to make until ASA comes out. Regarding the deinotheriums, yes, they should be good against bosses, but I do think you have to bring only 1 male. Haven't tried them myself, but I would probably go max health on the male so it doesn't die during the fight. You can afford to lose females, because you need only 3 for their damage buff. I've seen Syntac take on the Savage Acro with them, and I think they did pretty good.

A high level giga will still definitely kill you with it's bleed. You need that wyvern milk.

carcha will still win against a normla giga cuz a giga can rage a carcha not with 100 stacks a giga will loose no matter what edit: in context to pvp for example counter a osd you farm fast 100 stacks and counter
Haven't really tested carchar with no stacks against the Giga, but I'll look into it

Hi! So I produce news videos on paleo Ark. it is coming to ASA. The developer is looking to release the mod at either the end of this month or beginning of next month. As far as changes, wait and see. I’m sure you’ll love it.

I think it's still WIP for ASA.
Since modded creatures can be updated by the modder whenever he wants through patches, there really is no standard for it, it can be buffed or nerfed whenever while official creatures will take very long time or not be updated at all which is unfortunate, I really think the OG Giga is outdated, the dev should've given it a TLC since it is the iconic King of land carnivores, though it's good to have rivals. I'm just waiting for the Bronto to get buffed and get treated as the king of land herbivores it deserves, they can make it like a smaller version of the Titanosaur at least.

what a surprise , the unbalanced modded dino is arguably better in everything that you would tame that type of dino for. Great video tho, was cheering for the carcha

Paleo variants are pretty balanced they just get a better moveset
