“Only tea” is rising up my list of songs because this man is so anxious and so awkward I think it perfectly encapsulates the Awkward Gatsby energy!! (I just saw this last night and came looking for the slime tutorial, it’s so amazing I can’t wait until someone releases the visuals!)
Just saw gatsby yesterday for the first time without knowing basically knowing besides my green light. I’m still thinking it was a whole dream because of how amazing it was. truly.

I get why they took Jeremy out (not saying I like it) but they could have kept the lyrics I was used to. I loved that version: especially the entire beginning: “it’s New York City son and the worlds your oyster”. 🥲 also “absolute rose”, I liked the papermill version better with the “so soooo sophisticated”. However, “new money” I like better than before, I’m vibing with it. Happy that the overall idea/sound of “for her” wasn’t changed, same with “for better or worse” and “only tea”. (The “I’m not okay” and Jeremy’s lines here have me rolling. 😂) Wish they would have changed the beginning of “the met”… noises made me uncomfortable) 😂 “only tea reprise” is new for me and I love it. “Green light” will always be ON TOP. Cant WAIT to see this show. 💚

might be an unpopular opinion but i get why this didnt get many tony nominations. songs are poorly written and the dialogue is unremarkable. love the cast as much as the next guy, but hearing the show definitely made me aware of some errors
am i the only one who finds the beginning of New Money underwhelming? Maybe it’s from the part they chose from the promo is so epic it just sounds so different , and that has no fault on Sam at all
well to be fair the party is just starting. I love the papermill version but i think it was more dramatic if you understand me. in my own opinion i think it encaptulates the roaring 20's more because it starts off softer and then gets wild toward the end
Yes, this made me very sad. Jeremy has no parts. I think it was better when Jeremy started the opening song. Likewise, Eva's first song has changed a lot. The previous version was definitely better.
