Airlink CEO: consolidation needed among African airlines, Qatar Airways acquires 25% stake

Qatar Airways acquires a 25% stake in Airlink. In an EXCLUSIVE with AeroTime, The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airlink, Rodger Foster says there is a need for consolidation and rationalization among African airlines to open air access and achieve efficiencies of scale.
On the sidelines of the AviaDev Africa 2024, conference, Foster, emphasizes that the airline's all-Embraer fleet is "fit for purpose," however, will maintain a medium term look to larger aircraft.
Foster also shares his view on the standardization of SAATM Single African Air Transport Market.
