I know what channel to go to if I need to do concrete work the right way. You have taught me so much. I can do small diy projects for half of the cost since I can do concrete my self :)
See that's why i like David odell he makes it happen you see from the garage to the drive it is a swill so you have to know how yo get the water down the driveway.good job buddy they really don't understand what it really takes to do what you do.☝😁
thanks for your videos! super professional. by the way if you had not shown your face in your videos, i would have though this Donuld Trump because of your voice😉
Hey David, i want to start by saying I love the channel. However I was surprised to hear that you are considering using fibreglass reinforcement as I have never seen it used in standard concrete construction, it has always been reserved for specialist activities such as when you have to run a tunnel boring machine (TBM) through a heap of structural piles. This is because where I am from (Australia), it is quite expensive. I know that’s a little bit of a specialist activity, but it’s the only time I have seen it done. I noted that you spoke about rust on the reinforcement being the potential issue, can I ask why you have chosen to go to the fibreglass reo and not just stuck with m applying correct concrete cover and compaction as treatments to this potential issue? As these treatments, if applied correctly, can lead to a long design life for concrete structures, 100 years+
I'm on the coast. I see a lot of steel corrosion in concrete. From being placed to close to the surface. This new technique will eliminate that possibility.
So I'm assuming that the homeowner does not want to remove those palm trees even though the roots are invasive? I was excited, as if it was my yard, when I saw you out there , looks like early in the morning, on the day of the concrete.
The neighbor behind me planted Canary palms in his planters up against the wall. Put him on notice once and need to again. Informed him the costs will be all his when it’s time to replace it. Going to be in the thousands. Not to forget the damage to my landscape I’ll also sue for. Some people belong in apartments. The responsibility of a home is not for everyone.
I wish there was an Odell Complete Concrete where I live!
the bigger and larger it expands statistically speaking the service and quality, change and not for the better
I agree with you

Why are you unable to do concrete work yourself?

Nice work fellows. Its good to see real quality still exists. Your prep on the subgrade and attention to detail is awesome
Much appreciated!
Even though i’m in Australia and have nothing to with concreting beside the odd DIY, love you and your sons channels.

super goood looking. great job. everything is on point with the vids and projects. great sound and editing.

Coring a hole through the curb was a great idea. Water flows unimpeded and will save the landscaping from eroding if you had needed to put a pop-up.
Yes I like the curb core the best
You do wonderful and great work.

Your video quality continues to improve. I've probably watched 30 of them but keep coming back. Looking forward to the conclusion on this one.

Those palm roots will never lift concrete.
No but the dirt from the palms being compressed will raised the concrete

Those trees are close to the property line, so this person has to spend money to prevent roots from damaging their concrete, hmm

Does you tube actually think we watch the annoying commercials they inject?
Probably not
Those palm tree roots are awful! Huge amount of roots and they love to destroy concrete lol
That's the truth
