  • another update, this time testing the effects of FSR and quite pleased with the results. bare in mind tho the fps you see in the video differs from actual results when gaming due to the performance hit when recording, i actually get 5-7 fps higher on average across the board with ultra and slightly more with high. when using Digital Foundry's optimized settings i get consistent 40-45fps.
    Laptop Specs:
    i7 3740QM Overclocked to 4GHz (3.8GHz all core)
    NVIDIA Quadro P4000 8GB
Booting from NVMe Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD via MXM to NVMe Adapter in the 2nd unused GPU slot.

Thanks for the video. I wish I could find more benchmarks for the P4000 Mobile, instead of the desktop card. Guess I'll just have to wait until the hardware gets here in a couple days.

Thanks appreciated the test on a p4000 ! If you have another game test on this card .. that can be nice.

any game in mind? reasons ive been doing cyberpunk was due to how heavy it is to run, especially on 10 series cards, but if you know of others maybe i can test those too

@@visualdiarrhea569 Not sure, but Quantum Break was quite hard to drive on most system. Or FlighSim Fsx with far away view or cloud to render..

Hey! I saw on ebay this card with on of those Alienwares with HDMI-In. They seller wrote with this card the HDMI-In does not work. Can you confirm? I wanna play consoles with the screen on Alienware time to time. Cheers!

HDMI-In works for me, its abit fickle though. Will only show a signal once the device plugged in is on and once u press the hotkey for it when running windows. the laptop has to be booted into windows for it to work and u also have to have windows set to be listening to the HDMI in under sound to get the sound to play thru the speakers also

How did you install it? Did you modify anything?

only thing i had to do was reuse the X bracket off the 580m i had from my r1 machine, since the card didnt come with one. other then that it fitted fine with the 100w GPU heatsink. I have a guide of sorts on Notebooktalk detailing the rebuild i did of this laptop in the m18x section

pretty sure at this point its cpu limited. even when setting things to low the best fps i could get was 50-55fps or so
