You can also use any usb-c mic since the camera has built in usb-c. Or get 3.5mm to usb-c cable. So theoretically you can use any mic with the dji osmo pocket 3. Great video!
Can one plug in an external Mic with digital input via USB-C while also connecting 2 DJI Mic 2 mics via Bluetooth which then mean there's 3 audio sources coming through at the same time?
I was wondering what it would look like to attach an external mic to the cold shoe mount and couldn't find it anywhere else. Thanks for making this in-depth tutorial, really helpful!
I hate having a ton of accessories, especially on the body of the camera. The setup with an extendable tripod plus a ball head that has a cold shoe mount is genius!
6:45 I love the little side eye before laughing so happily! Also this is amazing. I have a pocket 2 but I've been trying to figure out HOOOOW to get it physically attached to the camera.
Oh boy! I'd like to see you put this Pocket 3 with bunch of accessories in a pocket now. DJI sold an idea of compact camera, but with all these accessories the Pocket 3 looks like a Christmas tree with decorations. Well done video, lots of work. Thank you!
@@Gemini_Connect I didn't want to. If Pocket 3 would have 5000mAh battery, as good as its DJI Mic2 but built in stereo microphone with that fluffy windscreen, I wouldn't have to build the pyramid of missing better quality accessories. Now I look like somebody who is going to go fishing with fishing rod case loaded with 3 spare batteries, 2x Mic2, spare Memory Micro SD's, bracket to hold 2 Wireless Mics, mini tripod, with quick release on it. I need a bigger pants to put the pocket camera in my pocket now. ))
As a georgian person it was a pleasant surprise to hear “georgian food” 😂 i would have never expected that 😂 thanks for the tips i always watch your videos and they are always informative ❤ love to see your family appearing in your videos too! Keep up the good work! ❤
I was going to get rid of my Rode Wireless Me when I got the creator combo but it might actually be good to keep it so that I can record that to the camera and record the DJI Mic 2 inside that mic itself for interviews or so on.
Can one plug in an external Mic with digital input via USB-C while also connecting 2 DJI Mic 2 mics via Bluetooth which then mean there's 3 audio sources coming through at the same time?
Thank you for this amazing video! Is it possible to add two DJI mics and two RODE wireless go mikes without having to record onto the mic itself? I’m guessing “no” or else he would’ve suggested it. Thanks so much for sharing all of this awesome information.
Hello. Great vidéo thank you. I tried to connect at the same time the wireless mic and a smartLav+ on the usb-c connector, but it seems it is impossible to have both working at the same time. Any tips for that ?
I commend you for your in-depth reviews of so many aspects of the DJI Pocket 3! GREAT JOB! What is your view of the Ulanzi MT-79 Portable Adjustable Light Stand (6.5') T075GBB1serving as a single pole stand for the Pocket 3? What microSD Card do you use in the Pocket 3? THANK YOU for all your tips & tricks!!!
Thanks for your video. Is there a way to connect 3 or more wireless mics with the DJI system? Like for example, the osmo pocket 3 has a built in receiver that can connect to 2 mics. Could you also attach the receiver from the DJI mic 2 kit and add 2 more mics, having a total of 4 mics? The use case would be if you’re interviewing more than one person.
Can one plug in an external Mic with digital input via USB-C while also connecting 2 DJI Mic 2 mics via Bluetooth which then mean there's 3 audio sources coming through at the same time?
Thank you for the great video. Still remains the question if I hold the pocket in one hand and the mic 2 that comes with the combo in the other , which will get better distance coverage for a subject, many yards away. I don’t own a directional mic, so I was just wondering. Really fantastic video - subscribed because of all the helpful tips.
Great videos thanks. Isn't it possible to just get a affordable lav mic and use that plugged into the pocket? 3. Using a cheap trrs converter cable. Surely that would give you a much better audio than anything going through the wireless system. And of course it goes exactly where the wireless mic would go anyway. The only difference is you've got a little bit of a lead, but since the gimbal camera remains the same and only the gimbal moves around, surely this is more suited full lav mics than any other kind of camera which would be moving forwards and backwards all the time? Unfortunately no one seems to have made any videos on TH-cam about this which is really surprising. Maybe you could do one and that would be something really positive for those. Looking for a more affordable option than these wireless microphones. Thank you!
I think your videos are great. I didn't even want the Pocket 3 until AFTER watching your vids.....should I just sell my ZV1 and switch to the Pocket 3?
Hi there I’m totally new to this and need some advice please I have a iPhone 15 I have just watch your gimbal video and what to buy one with a directional mic and then attach them together. The iPhone has a usb c What mic should you recommend I use that can be mounted and won’t interfere with the gimbal and can connect via usb c to phone Thanks
Hi, You seem to know everything to do with this wonderful little camera and I need some help! I have a tripod and I want to be able to mount my camera as normal on the tripod and, separately, attached my Pocket 3 to one of the tripod legs so that I can take stills with my camera and 'B roll" with the Pocket 3 at the same time. I can't find anything to attach the Pocket 3 to a tripod leg and wondered if you can suggest something that might be suitable? Many Thanks!
It seems odd to attach a camera to a tripod leg. I can’t think of any product that would do that. If I were you, I’d use a bracket that allowed for attaching the camera and Pocket 3 at the same time, or mount the Pocket 3 to the cold shoe of the main camera.
The Rode shotgun is connected to a Rode Wireless Pro transmitter and the Rode Wireless receiver is connected to the Pocket 3. But you can do the exact same thing with the DJI Mic transmitter, if that makes sense.
Hi, I recently bought a dji osmo pocket 3 (creator combo)and it’s my first experience with it, the mic 2 came with it and I want a additional mic setup for my business contend creation so should go for 2 transmitter and 1 receiver or 1 transmitter and 1 receiver set up and I would like to have your opinion on the tripod extension and selfie stick options Thanks in advance
If you want to use the mic system with other cameras like a phone, mirrorless camera, then get the receiver. If not, you’ll be fine with just another TX added to your kit. I love Insta360 extendable tripods and selfie sticks.

My preference for an iPhone mic is the DJI Mic. It’s not directional, but it is the lightest and most minimalist
I know there's time code on the OP3 itself. But I really hope they update the wireless mic 2 to also have time code once it's fully released!
It does when used as a standalone mic & not connected to the pocket 3.
