You will probably play wild stalker in like 1 key, but sincerely its so simple to play that it's hardly worth making a video about. i sorry for all u catweaving enjoyers :[ As far as incarn vs convoke goes, incarn is about our only real healing cd now, and works exceptionally well with keeper of the grove. Unless you can get away with 0 healing, you'll probably always play incarn, and if you can get away with convoke, you'll probably be playing wildstalker anyway.
do you think wildstalker is that bad ? i really like being in catform after i have hut all my healing :D and then rip and back to healing :D think it is funny
Thanks so much for the video and the fantastic info! Been loving Keeper on the beta and your previous vid on Keeper vs Wildstalker has already been super helpful! 💜
Although not planning to play rdu this season, but always interested in your takes and guides and to be updated with latest info and builds, thank you and look forward to hpal guide
Hearing no more flourish or adap swarm means we lose button bloat :D Hearing Wildstalker, Call of the Elder Druid and Dream of Cenarius aren't that great D: but seriously ty for the guides and info as always DXM. Really appreciate all the info you put out there for us
I've been having success playing with nearly no feral talents; I never dps in cat anymore and it allows me to starsurge into damage-to-heal smoothly/on command, and I find the spot healing it does to reduce the amount of globals I waste actually healing. Then with heart of the wild, I can pretty much not heal for the first 45 sec of the boss fight, and conserve a lot of material for when shit hits the fan. During the Heart, if I am also in tree from reforestation or naturally, this also makes those instant cast wraths easy on-the-go dps and heals. I personally find it to work well, but I DO agree that the smart healing could use some TLC. I understand your stance, but imo underrated talents. I do hate losing budding leaves for it tho.
Tysm for the guide! I definitely appreciate the time you take to make these, really helps my push go a little smoother. I’m trying hard to stay on RDruid because I love it so much haha
@@byron2837 RDruid is something I will always play, but maybe not main. The play style is something I enjoy for sure. At the same time, I also like topping health bars as a healer main and there are some healers that do it better. I’m very hopeful for RDruid
Seems to me like they didn't add enough useful synergy with wildstalker/cat weaving for resto druids. Missing something like "Using a 5 point ferocious bite extends all hots by 6s" so you can hot people up go cat do some damage and not feel like your falling behind in healing. (Returning player here, just my first glance observations, maybe cat weaving will be great and was great in dragonflight i dunno xD)
You need to work for blizz that is a fantastic idea and I agree. Hell I don't do enough dps in either cat form or with wrath/dots that it even makes a difference in the boards. If I'm going to dps i'll just stick with my 585 ret pally doing 500k-3mil dps XD (yes that's the highest I've peaked so far this xpac)
Thank you so much for this guide!! I’ve been looking for someone who knows what they’re talking about regarding Resto Druid! I’m switching to resto for TWW and it’s the first time I’ve played them since the first patch of BFA lmao Also I’m happy Heart of the Wild is kind of shit cause I’ve hated playing with it in the pre patch but it’s what every guide says to take😭
great video, explaining why we should be doing what we're doing is perfect. you should think about doing more videos in TWW, a video i'm hoping you make in TWW is a "break down" of one of your beta keys showing rotation and why/what you're doing, showing how you use your utility and spells.
I think it's fine! Generally tho, especially after today's nerfs, you're gonna prefer budding leaves. I've experimented with both and if you can SotF into a Rejuv, the spot healing is noticeable but I worry budding leaves is just a lot more reliable, passive healing.
@@dxmdru thanks for your insight, I thought so :) I assumed just from the pugging perspective that it would be handful to get some instant healing from rejuv after a guy would step in some kind of shit, the downside tho is you lose some healing if you are prehotting before a damage comes
Disc is by far the most difficult healer to play correctly. Especially at the beginning of the expansion when - unless you went hard on Beta - you have no idea when damage ramps are in dungeons and therefore will likely mistime your DR/ramps. On the other hand, HPriest, RSham, and HPal are all great for reactive healing, which means unpredictable damage is fine.
@@devel-rh6hy For sure! If you're good at disc you'll be good at disc. I honestly just find I prefer holy at the beginning (R druid also great!) because I can survive my complete lack of encounter knowledge in the new dungeons and raids XD. Once I know the damage profiles and timings, disc can really pump.
Disc is incredibly punishing to play without a coordinated group. It's not necessarily hard per-say, but moreover you need to be able to communicate effectively, and if you can't do that, it will almost feel like it does nothing at all as far as healing goes. I wouldnt recommend as a starter healer. Rdruid can be a little similar in that regard. For starter healers, I'd recommend Hpal or Rshaman!
F**k fluid form, I dont really like the idea of it without skullbash adding to that few selected Spells. Sadly I like 0 catweaving style with starsurge and Hearth of the wild doing lotta damage while filling up mana. I think we will just have to try them
You would think that, but unfortunately it's still just better than verdant infusion imo. It does inherently make reforestation a bit more manageable regardless tho.
You sure with call of the elder Druid? I’m pretty sure it will be played in M+ like always. As it also feels really nice with so much Heart of the Wild uptime same as the crazy Inca uptime in Raid with double swiftmend + proc Inca.
I'm fairly confident that at the very least, no one will play dream of cenarius. I think pretty much every talent that low in the tree is just better than Call/Dream, and the only reason you'd play Call is because you can get away with it for damage. If you're playing call, youre also heavily encouraged to play Convoke, bc theyre both 1min cds and you wanna sync them. But at that point, you may as well just play wildstalker, which will probably only be the case in like Mists of Tirna Scithe.
“Wildstalker is simple and bland” but that’s the cat-weaving focussed tree. Cat-weaving is the only thing that makes Resto engaging as a healer that wants to contribute to damage. So by default any build that focusses on doing the more engaging play-style is automatically the most engaging choice. Reducing how often we have that gameplay for what is essentially a “packet of synergy” that is just “use swiftmend more” seems ridiculous tbh. Especially since at the end you say how Grove doesn’t really change the spec’s core gameplay much other than making swiftmend more important. But the Tier set does that anyway….
It doesn't make catweaving any more engaging. Your globals don't really change at all in Wildstalker from Dragonflight's catweaving, and I mean that sincerely. Keeper of the Grove at least has the ability to change ur globals, and adds more depth with stuff like cenarius might windows and Starfire weaving.

Don’t believe the tier list hype train. Rdruid is still powerful both in healing and dmg output. You won’t have a problem with the spec.
