My door had broken free from the track frame. This door was very difficult to move. using your advice I made a small hole in the bottom of the wall & removed the old screws. I reattached the door using longer screws. Replaced #8 3/4" with #8 1"
Hi and sorry....no longer have the boat...but if I recall, the upper and lower tracks were pretty much the same (tho honestly can't really recall now!).... the upper was secured simply with screws... the right end disappearing into the gauge cowling...
HI there. Yep - 16mm Diameter Delrin Plastic Balls (DEL.16mm) The source was //simplybearings.co.uk/shop/Loose+Balls+&+Rollers-Plastic+Balls-Delrin+Plastic+Ball+Bearings/c23_5027_5028/index.html Cheers
Do you have to remove the windshield? What about the caulking around the console/helm? Or did removing these screws provide enough clearance to work on the door without removing the whole console/helm .
How did you loosen the screws on the lower track without removing the helm assembly? the upper track is accessible behind the instrument panel which is easy to remove but not the lower track
Gary Graham hi there - TBH it’s been a few years since i did this and i really have no recollection! I’m guessing it was pretty easy/obvious otherwise I believe i would have included it ... a simple case of a longer screwdriver giving reach ? I’ll think on it further and if it comes to me I’ll let you know ... i no longer have the boat BTW... good luck ☺️
Hi there.
The balls are 16mm Delrin and sourced from Simply Bearings in the UK . . .
Cheers

Did you remove the track ( remove it, clean it and replace the balls)?

There is four big screws inside the console remove them and then remove the console and you have full access to the door and the track

The boat is full fiberglass ?
2001 sea ray sundancer 240 is full fiberglass ?
Do you know the size of the ball?
Also where did you order it from?
thanks in advance
I'm in Florida, what state are you in?
Could I just pay you to fix mine?
Sure!
Or you could pay the local marina $2500 . . .
Thanks for the info
