He is divine perfection! You know you've come in contact with a true artist when you feel alive and hopeful. You feel like opening to life again and want to dance! Thank you.
Well Pam yet again an amazing choice of pictures and a beautiful piece of music. I think your writing above is wonderful, so descriptive and totally sums up everything about Sergei. It seemed nice to see him with his muscular legs au natural ie:- complete with hair as it would appear he usually shaves or waxes or whatever when he dances in shorts, but as I used to body build it makes the muscle definition stand out without hair, so to me he looks good either way. You mention his feet as well, to be honest I am one of those people that hate feet, whether they are ballet feet, or beautiful pedicured ones and especially mens feet, but the arch of his feet even without shoes on as in some of these pictures are as beautiful as the rest of him and believe me I never thought I would say that about anyone's feet!!!! xxxxxxx
Thank you Suzi You leave the best comments. =) I am really enjoying this adventure. It's a completely new thing for me, but the creativity is very satisfying... more so than I expected. Don't know if you read my bio or not, but I have found much happiness in making these little vignettes into his art, and the other odd subjects here and there (scribble drawing? lol it's so much fun). So I truly appreciate your thorough and thoughtful comments. And, YES about the legs and the hair and the feet!!! I can't imagine making such a video about such things on anyone except him. He truly is flawless.
Dont know how I missed this, but so great to have it pop up unexpectedly! After a many hours writing, watching it was the perfect way to slow down & stop thinking....I'll mayb even get some sleep now. Always so mesmerizing to watch SP move, & I can safely say Im not thinkin much when my eyeballs are concentrating on his movements & their beauty. & as always, watching the way you match music to images.....you're so darn good! Must say tho, of all your films Ive watched, this is the only time I've felt meh towards the music (& I luv guitar). And that's not a criticism! Just 1 opinion (& I think the minority one at that). Looking forward to more serendipitous encounters with your films.....thanx, Ms Pam!
Always love your comments, even those of differing opinions... that's what makes the world go round. It'd be a boring sphere if we all were exactly the same lol. AND, in such a world, there may be no Polunin!! That would be tragic!
Sergei is a truly striking dancer... but, seriously , he got the cashew feet. My teachers would've screamed bloody murder. And when he retires he's going to hobble. Love him now !!!
I make them out of love and admiration, but I must admit, I would not say no to the income. If you read my "About" page you'll see that my current lifestyle is very much different than it's been for the past 40 years or so... I was a ballet dancer/teacher but I lost my ability to make a living due to medical issues, so I continue to "dance" and "choreograph" using pixels now lol. 🌻💛🤗🌞😊🍊🌟⭐
Good question! I read somewhere what he ate during one particular meal... don't know how typical it was. I'll see if I can find out more. Of course, I have a feeling most of his wonderfulness is based in his DNA.
Guess you are right, must be in his genes. Have also read that the late Rudolf Nureyev has broken every bone in his ankle and yet he was still able to carry on dancing until his illness stopped him. Then quite recently, Yannick Bittencourt of the Paris Ballet had his THR, but is now back on his dancing feet again. Talk about perseverence and for the love of dance. Not everyone has that kind of attitude.
Yeah... dancers are notorious for not listening to our bodies. I guess the drive and desire to dance makes us unreasonable lol. I pretty much quit going to the doctor with my aches and pains because all they ever said was "stop dancing" and that wasn't going to happen lol. Well... until lately (something bigger than an ache/pain has finally benched me) but that's not part of this story. =) Thanks for watching and thanks for writing!!

Oh, those beautiful feet...
Sergei has such beautiful feet , strong and so flexible, 😊
Yes!! I'm a sucker for gorgeously arched feet. And always placed "just so" and properly with every step.
What a lovely pair of feet 😍
☆☆☆☆☆!

I wonder what his diet is like to get such strong legs.
