Thanks Chris. I had a residential window cleaning business 30 years ago and still have an 8" squeegee from those days that I keep in the car and have ever since used on the inside windshield. Dishsoap in water, wet cloth, dry cloth. Easy. Never thought to make a video. Squeegee works well on foggy side mirrors and side windows too on wet winter days.

I park outside and the sun beats on that car. So, I came upon Chris Notap's video. Hmmm. It looked too easy, but I was willing to give it a try. OK, so I went onto Amazon and purchased the green & orange squeegee that Notap recommended. It arrived today. So, I got me a bucket, added 2" of water to it, did a circular swirl of Dawn dishwashing liquid into the water, and went to attack that grimy windshield. I rubbed the soapy water onto the windshield with great gusto. Then I went over it a second time. Sudsy droplets fell all over my dash. I did not care! I meant business! Then, I took that squeegee, and did just like Chris Notap in this video. Left to right with squeegee in hand, and after each swipe I wiped its edge with a clean dry cloth. It was an overcast drizzly day, so when I was done, I couldn't tell how effective my efforts were. But, after the sun went down, I purposefully got in my car and went for a drive. Yep, I agree. Having tried Mr . Clean eraser and failed (despite videos saying otherwise) this video confirmed that the BEST option is the squeegee. The new nugget was the use of dawn dish soap to cut the grime which behaves like grease. Both together successfully remove the streaks and glare from the inside of the windshield that has become the bane of my car maintenance existence. I’m not very frustrated at how long I’ve lived while doing this in the hardest way possible. It is so simple but I never thought to do it this way. Thanks so much for the tip! Cleaning me and my wife’s windshields tomorrow!
Ha brilliant I have been doing this for years now! I have been a window cleaner for the last 21 years and got fed up trying to clean it with rags and it was the best thing I have done 🙂 good work with sharing it with the world.
If you use the squeegee to clean the outside of the windshield too, go from top to bottom instead of side-to-side. That way, if you should happen to see any streaks, you’ll know right away if they are on the inside or out.
Dag Nabbit that's a good idea, 🤦♂️all these dang years, so simple, duh 🙄....don't mind me just having one of those "I'm an idiot, why didn't I think of that moments" lol
Worked great, had to pay close attention on the edges but still was so quick and easy! 🥳 I used two bath towels laid over the dash to keep it dry like Dan M suggested in the comments. I will be ordering a few more of these squeegees as presents for family 👍👍
I just got that squeegee in the mail yesterday and cleaned the inside of my windshield. Put towels on the dashboard per the suggestions below from viewers. I used a green pad side of a wet sponge with some dishwashing liquid on it. I ended up having to use the towels to wipe up the small water lines left by the squeegee, but the inside of my windshield is clean now and it was easier to clean than it's ever been before. Thanks a million!
I've been testing dozens of ways for years to get a windshield clean like you did, thanks for saving me many more years of trying, I'm doing it your way. 👍
Unbelievably helpful 👏. It really worked! I watched several other youtube window cleaning videos about using vinegar & water, class cleaners, lint-free cloths, newspaper, etc. After several attempts trying each method, NONE of them worked well on my vehicle front windshield. This one did 👍. Thank you very much for posting 😁.
Thanks Chris! I just did my windshield as instructed in the video (same squeegee n all - arrived a couple days ago!), the whole process took maybe 5 minutes, if that. And the results are exactly what I've wanted! My car is 3.5 years old and the windshield has had that awful smudgy haze on the inside for most of that time. I had given up trying to clean it because other attempts did nothing to make it better. Thanks again! 😁
I found this method recently for my huge living room windows, and couldn't believe how great and quick it worked. For some reason I never thought of it for my car windows, until now. I've never had a clean windshield, ever! Now I will. Thank you so much.
I'm a professional cleaner and I use Dawn to clean all glass, windows, mirrors, showers. If it leaves your dishes streak-free it will work on other glass.
Years ago, a local postal worker was cleaning the plate glass windows at the PO with a bottle of carbonated water and told me I could use the same thing on the inside of my windshield. Well, I don't normally buy carbonated water, but I since being informed, I HAVE used sugar-free carbonated soft drinks and paper napkins to clean when the windshield looks obnoxious! Worked quite well, and I always had those items on hand. Still didn't solve the human anatomical aspect of the problem, but this new approach looks intriguing! I hope it'll work as well for me as it does for Chris... I never tried the sock-foot technique due to a bad knee! Thanks for a tremendously-entertaining tutorial! 😺💕🐾
Thank you, Chris Notap. I have been trying for YEARS to find some way to clean my car windows without leaving them streaked or still smudged. Then I tried your system...excellent. Best my windows have ever looked. Thank you again, sir, much appreciated.
I ran across Chris's video months ago and have been using this procedure ever since. It's a real game changer. I use it on my golfcart windshield as well and is equally effective. I even started using the wet microfiber towels after I was done to wipe down all the mirrors. A bowl of water with a couple drops of dawn goes a long way! Thanks again Chris! 👏👏👏
I use these squeegees to smooth over plaster repairs. They don’t drag any particles across the wet plaster. Never thought to use for the inside of my windshield! Great video!
My husband just came across this video and I think it's fun to watch. Thanks for your friendly humour. Thanks for sharing what it looks like from inside the bucket. That was something I'd never seen before. Fun and interesting.
This system works great !! I've have tried over and over again to clean the windshields on my car and truck. Windex and paper towels, windex and towels and windex with newsspaper. I cound never get it real clean. After seeing this video, I ordered one of the squeegee's and just tried it out. WOW, what a suprise. Thank you so much for posting this, I will no longer dread cleaning the windshields anymore.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I always dread 'that moment' when you realize it's necessary to clean the car's inside glass. You know, the inside surface gets that foggy-hazy patina that is worse at night with the glare of oncoming headlights. I've tried a few other methods shown in other YT videos but none have worked as advertised...very disappointing. There's always streaking and/or areas that just weren't clean afterward requiring re-do. But I saw this method of Chris's and thought it had promise, so I bought the little squeegee and tried it last week. It amazed me! Not only did it work, it was almost easy! (Almost) It's been a week now and I'm still amazed at how good a job it did, I don't remember ever getting such excellent results. I did my outside windows too and afterward it was like looking at a new car's windows in the dealer showroom...they were super clean, just like in the video. Try this method! Things I found that worked well: 1. The squeegee is perfect for car widows. As mentioned in the video, the frame doesn't extend to the ends of the squeegee, letting me get right up to the very edge of, well, everywhere without scratching anything. 2. I could use the squeegee upside down, as the blade works either way. Why is this important? My windshield has a significant slant putting the bottom, where it meets the dash, at arm's length. Always a problem for me. But by using the squeegee upside down I was able to easily squeegee upward from the bottom, up and and off to the side, for easy follow-up. 3. Mild water and dish detergent solution is an excellent cleaning solution, it very effectively cuts through the dirty film (you know what I mean). No special 'window cleaner' needed (think Windex). 4. Cleans the rear window with that bumpy inside defroster grid without fear of damaging the grid elements. The squeegee is soft silicone rubber which is not abrasive and doesn't induce any wear. 5. Much faster than the 'spray-and-wipe' system. No re-do needed. When you're done, you're done! Things that didn't work well: 1. It's a squeegee system. Where does the squeegee'd solution go? Gravity says "down", so it drips. I put a towel down on my slippery vinyl dash beforehand but fought trying to keep it in place. In the end I gave up and let the drips fall where they may. Drip clean up was easy though, so no harm, no foul. 2. There is no #2, the dripping issue was the only detractor for me. And honestly...so what?
Did this today and it works like a charm! Will never go back to any other way but this. And you’re right, it takes no time to do this, matter of fact you can do all windows in your car in no time flat. Excellent video !
Awesome! My dirty inside windshield has been driving me nuts lately. Finally a quick, easy fix. I just ordered a squeegee using your link. 👍🏼 Now can you invent a time machine so you can go back and teach me all these hacks 30 years ago so I could have been less frustrated in life? 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks, Chris!
Chris, you've got the best DIY stuff on the 'net! I used your idea with the wet/dry vac and mason jar to change the oil in our mowers and small engines. We've got 3 small push mowers, a generator, a roto-tiller and a snow blower and changing the oil was a real job. Then I came across your video with the wet/dry vac and gave it a try. It turned a horrible job into a piece of cake!! Keep up the good work!
I had no idea there were squeegees like this! I use this exact method to clean my house windows and it works great. Now I can do my car windshield. I'm glad I found this channel. I'm going to get one of these squeegees right away.
I bought the plastic squeegee and a bottle of Dawn Platinum and set about cleaning my windshield. Thank you Chis for this brilliant hack -- the inside of my windshield has never been this clean!
I've used a squeegee as my preferred method of cleaning windows for 40+ years. Sadly, it didn't occur to me to use it for cleaning the windshield on our vehicles until about a year ago. It is so much better! I use a larger squeegee with a sponge on the opposite site, but it is awkward to maneuver. I'm going to pick up the smaller squeegee and give it a try.
Have been using this method for a number of years now, it's the only way to get a squeeky clean and smear free window in no time. Hey, I even always have a spray bottle with dish soap water in the car 😊.
I watched this video with my mouth open. Why haven’t I thought of this? It’s always the simple things. I can’t begin to name the number of cleaners I purchased trying to get a streak free windshield. Thanks a bunch.
I was always using rags or other pieces of towels being in different positions walking back and fourth to the seats in my car and getting tired sometimes, I will definitely use your tip. Thanks Chris! Good video!
Yep, good method. The key thing is getting around to cleaning the inside of the windscreen! The more often you do it, the easier it is. This makes driving in those awkward light situations much safer!
Just tried your system on my Tesla inside windshield. FANTASTIC!!! No mess, no fuss, works perfectly. It took just a few minutes. Loved the squeegee too (very good quality and the perfect size).
This method is so simple but really helps. Like many of those responded, I tried so many different methods, also expensive, nothing works this well. Now I clean the windows around the house too! Thank you for sharing !
This worked perfectly! Recently had a scary drive home on a weird atmospheric night and could barley see - went to Canadian Tire and bought a silicone squeegee like this - and used dish soap it was so easy and great results!!! Thanks!
I ordered that same squeegee from Amazon the other day. Can't wait to try this method. I always leave streaks on my windshield. Thanks for a great video!
Just got through using this method and it worked great! Would have done it earlier but had to wait on my squeegee to come in! Thank you sir for sharing!
Wonderful! I have a Toyota FT86 and it's a nightmare to clean the inside windshield so I bought the squeegee and the task became easy. Thanks for the tip!
Just got my first car a few months ago. Purchased a squeegee to clean the inside windshield without really knowing how to use it properly. Will be trying these tips, thank you.
Thank you so much! Very glad I found this video. I bought the same squeegee and followed the steps from Chris and it worked perfectly on the inside of my windshield. Thank you again
Thank you, I will do this! I bought Windex & sev'l types of paper towels b/c most had a coating on them that made the inside window SHINY. Rinse, repeat! Your vid popped up in my feed, &, honestly, it was a gift from God. THANK YOU! / Glenn Allen
Pro tip with the dawn clear dish soap. It also makes the glass and whatever else you put it on have a bit of anti-fog properties too. Used to use this on my fishbowl mask for hockey works like a charm!
Hi Chris. Thanks for the glass cleaning tips and will try your method. The main problem I see with the inside windscreen glass is the "film" that builds up over time (not that long) from the car parked in the sun, etc. THIS is a problem to remove with standard glass cleaning as you did initially in this video. This "film" mainly becomes discernable at night (after attempting to clean) and is annoying to say the least. Thanks.
A good answer to that that I have found is to use one of those "magic erasers" - works very well. I had the "film" problem too (older car) and someone recommended that to me.
This does work great! I also go over my entire windshield after cleaning, using "0000" steel wool which is the finest you can buy for those that aren't aware. This final step removes everything the cleaner missed, and make the glass look near new!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I have nerve damage in one arm, and a bum hand on the other, so doing windows always kills me. I hadn't even bothered to try cleaning them anymore, for well over a year, but tried your method and it was pain-free and so quick!
@@sassysandie2865 your wash wand or sponge does not need to be dripping with water, wring it out before using. If you have a lot of drips/water running down the window, your using too much water
When you encounter very dirty outside window do you wash all the dirt off with a rag first? I find too much dirt running down if I don’t either hose them off or wash first. How do you clean small window panes that a squeegee can’t fit into?
Thank you Chris. The squeegee method worked great. I used a small metal squeegee that I had on hand, using a mild solution of Dawn dish soap and a magic eraser. I did order the smaller squeegee that you recommended, because it would be more compact making it easier to use.
CAREFUL ! A Magic Eraser is indeed "magic" but it is essentially very close to Epoxy foam. It is probably much harder than the face protection film on the inside of your windshield ! I think windshields still have the protective layer on the inside as well as the layer laminated into the glass to keep the windshield together when it breaks.
I bought this tool at the Dollar Tree store, and it's excellent to clean car windows. I had one in my car and discovered cleaning windows with it years ago. It's a must to have. They also have longer handles I use to clean the shower doors with.
Thank you, Chris!! Perfectly streak free!! Very easy!! Just don't use fabric softener in your towels. This may streak your windows ... Also lay a towel on the dashboard, to catch excess water... i not neat like Chris..lol
I use 2 microfiber cloths, 1 wet cloth to clean and 1 dry cloth to buff. Soak the wet cloth in slightly soapy warm water and wring out as much as you can before using it to wipe the windscreen. Then use the dry cloth to buff off. Little tip, fold the dry cloth in half then in half again. This gives you a more even buff and provides you with a dry side of the cloth when you flip it over. I've been a professional valeter for 10 years and have always used this method.
So lucky that I found this, it really is a miricale. Needs much wider distribution of this wisdom. How will we every go back to the old ways after this great bit of enlightenment, and only 1.6 m people know about it.
Well I cleaned my windshield of my Escalade today (inside and out) after purchasing that squeegee you recommended and I must say it was the easiest one I’ve ever done! Thank you for this awesome tip! Tomorrow the wife and I are headed to leaf peeping on the Kancamagus Highway with a super clean windshield. Some hiking will be involved so not all behind the clear glass!
I love this method. There are many ways to clean windows. The point is that you do not have to stand on your head or twist your back to get the job done. The most straightforward solution I have seen. Five minutes and the "JOB IS DONE!"
I *FINALLY* got around to doing this after buying that squeezee on Amazon: *Order details Ordered on October 22, 2022* hahaha! WOW! The last time this windshield was this clean was at the dealer new. Thanks for this tip!! I used two washcloths...
Thank you for taking the time to share! Very handy. I had better results when doing this without being in direct sunlight and also using a karcher window vac to avoid some of the drips! Overall though, I appreciate you sharing 😊
GREAT idea! I've tried Windex and all kinds of things - nothing really worked. I'll definitely try this - and the tip about doing it in the shade is very helpful, it's one of those 'obvious' things you never think of :) And the nuance about the different types of squeegees is genius, never knew there were squeegees made like that. Thank you!
Thank you! I feel foolish for not having thought of this myself, but I just picked up a few small squeegees for myself and family. I'm meticulous with my windows, and through much effort I have managed to keep a mostly streak free clean but this will be so much easier!
Squeegees work like magic! I also have used a DIY window cleaner mix that is awesome! 1 cup 91% Isopropyl alcohol, 1 cup distilled water (if you have hard water), 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon Dawn. I have used this mix in a garden sprayer to clean outside windows of my house. I rinse with a pressure washer with a spray pattern. I then squeegee the windows but found they will dry almost streak free even if you let air dry. I also keep a 3 oz spray bottle of just Isopropyl & water (50/50) as a spray disinfectant in my car. I have found this also cleans glass very well and is my favorite for cleaning my sunglasses & cellphone screens. It does not streak if used with a clean micro fiber cloth.
Thanks! You literally saved my life! I'm a little bit OCD when it comes to my car windows and have tried every product and wasted a ton of money but ur way is the right way! 🙏👏🙌
Been breaking my back and scrubbing for 40 years and still had streaks. This method is easy with zero streaks. Used the recommended squeegee. The trick for me was wringing out the right amount from the washcloth. And use a piece of cardboard to catch the few drips that come off the squeegee: I found it easier to go from bottom to top and work my way across. That way it only drips near the end/top and I can catch those with the cardboard.
Great as always. For the outside, use steel wool to remove sap, bugs, water spots and stuff: it is softer than the glass and pretty much harder than any of the junk 'glued' on, and leaves the glass very smooth and will not damage it.
@@queenbunnyfoofoo6112 Agriculture is destroying the planet. It is very frustrating how much miss information there is on this topic. Grazing can actually sequester far more carbon than forests at a much, much faster rate. If we grazed animals on a large enough scale, we could actually mitigate all human emissions. Growing plants can not do this. Plant agriculture uses massive amounts of fossil fuels and unlike grazing cattle, it doesn't mitigate its own emissions. The soil microbiome is killed with chemicals and that dead soil is lost rapidly, causing complete land infertility and desertification. Grazing animals is the fastest way to replenish these lands, bring the microbes back, give nutrients back, rehydrate, break up impaction, and build soil faster than any other process. It would take nature decades to build the amount of soil made in a couple of yrs of Grazing.
loved the foot and rag method but unsure if I could have ever gotten my leg up that far; tried it once on a date when I was 18 and it didn't look very ladylike and I ended up with a bad leg cramp (I am 62 now and can't even imagine raising my leg over dash anymore). Will try the squeegy method now. Thank you for keeping us entertained.
Good information and very clever editing and presentation. I too tried all types of glass cleaners, best I found is Sprayway in aerosol cans, cleans well and streak free, and smells nice and fresh. I plan to try Dawn per your method with a squeegee to tackle the inside of the windshield. Thanks!

Chris, small tip, use a bath towel on the dash to catch drippings from the squeegee so your dash does not have spots
Yes good tip!
🤦🏻♂️ Why didn’t I think of that? Awesome tip - thank you! 👍🏼
Great tip 👍
I seriously thought that was THE TIP. And they should also sell a squeegee that has a drain to collect the drippings into a container in the handle.

Glad it helped!
That's fantastic!! Thanks for that great feedback!!
I found this method recently for my huge living room windows, and couldn't believe how great and quick it worked. For some reason I never thought of it for my car windows, until now. I've never had a clean windshield, ever! Now I will. Thank you so much.
Glad it helped!
I'm a professional cleaner and I use Dawn to clean all glass, windows, mirrors, showers. If it leaves your dishes streak-free it will work on other glass.
100% correct!!
Just bought the squeegee! DEF trying this! One of my most dreaded chores!!! THANK YOU
Years ago, a local postal worker was cleaning the plate glass windows at the PO with a bottle of carbonated water and told me I could use the same thing on the inside of my windshield.
That's great!
he sure aint no pro window cleaner -- u dont wipe of soapy and still dirty water
@@josephocallaghan3000 none of us are pros here, but I'd be damned if this doesn't work perfectly. You should try it, you might be surprised!
@@mygt8a4re I am a pro - so listen up good

I use these squeegees to smooth over plaster repairs. They don’t drag any particles across the wet plaster. Never thought to use for the inside of my windshield! Great video!
My husband just came across this video and I think it's fun to watch. Thanks for your friendly humour. Thanks for sharing what it looks like from inside the bucket. That was something I'd never seen before. Fun and interesting.
Lol! Thanks for that great feedback Tanner!! I really appreciate that!
Been doing this for years now! It absolutely is the easiest and best way to clean those inside windows 😃✨
Things I found that worked well:
Things that didn't work well:
That's great! Thanks!!
Those squeegees are available at Walmart for $7.99.
Don't bother waiting for the squeegee. Pick up any old newspaper, and start wiping. There is no better way to clean glass.
Peace
Yes! Let’s make a looooooong list of all our wasted efforts and regrets in life while we’re at it. One could lose their mind thinking about it all.
I just cleaned the windshield on our van with my awesome squeegee and Dawn soap, amazing! Thanks for sharing this with us!
It is tricky cleaning the windscreen. I have had trouble trying to get it clean. Thank you so much for sharing!
Just used this method today in my truck, worked great! Got the very same squeegee. My windshield is now clear as……..well………glass!
Great to hear!
Fantastic!
Thanks Chris. Cleaning the inside of the windscreen, as been the bain of my life. I'll do exactly what you recommend. thanks again.
Best way yet........looks easy and best clear results ever seen. Great video.
Thanks for the tip!! The inside of the windshield on my 2016 Charger has been a problem to clean for years. I will use your technique tomorrow.
I watched this video with my mouth open. Why haven’t I thought of this? It’s always the simple things. I can’t begin to name the number of cleaners I purchased trying to get a streak free windshield. Thanks a bunch.
Glad it was helpful!
I've been detailing our cars for years and this is a task I dread. Thank you for making this video. 👏👏👏👏
Glad it was helpful!
I was always using rags or other pieces of towels being in different positions walking back and fourth to the seats in my car and getting tired sometimes, I will definitely use your tip. Thanks Chris! Good video!
Hi from the UK 🇬🇧
I have struggled for years cleaning inside my windscreen, your method is the best I have ever seen.
Thank you 😊
Greeting from CANADA!!
I will give it a try. It looks easy and fast. Thank you. The inside windshield is always a pain to clean. Thanks again.
Yep, good method. The key thing is getting around to cleaning the inside of the windscreen! The more often you do it, the easier it is. This makes driving in those awkward light situations much safer!
Yes very true!
Just tried your system on my Tesla inside windshield. FANTASTIC!!! No mess, no fuss, works perfectly. It took just a few minutes. Loved the squeegee too (very good quality and the perfect size).

I just tried this method, can’t thank you enough for posting this. Windshield looks fabulous!!!
Best method ever. I use it on the cars and my Freightliner at work. Nothing like being able to see going down the road.
Couldn't agree more!
This method is so simple but really helps. Like many of those responded, I tried so many different methods, also expensive, nothing works this well. Now I clean the windows around the house too! Thank you for sharing !
I’ve used newspaper and glass cleaner for 44 years of driving, with great results. This squeegee method seems much easier. Thanks, Chris.
This worked perfectly! Recently had a scary drive home on a weird atmospheric night and could barley see - went to Canadian Tire and bought a silicone squeegee like this - and used dish soap it was so easy and great results!!! Thanks!
Fantastic!
I ordered that same squeegee from Amazon the other day. Can't wait to try this method. I always leave streaks on my windshield. Thanks for a great video!
Just got through using this method and it worked great! Would have done it earlier but had to wait on my squeegee to come in! Thank you sir for sharing!
I’ve tried many ways .. this way works GREAT! Thanks ! I hate cloudy dirty inside windshields plus clean ones make such a difference driving at night

This works sooooo well! Thank you! I did get the small squeegee he uses. It was perfect.
Excellent!
Thank you so much! Very glad I found this video. I bought the same squeegee and followed the steps from Chris and it worked perfectly on the inside of my windshield. Thank you again
You're welcome!
This is the same technique my mother in law showed me for windows on our house. It works great! 👍🏻 👍🏻
It s a pretty normal technique for cleaning windows. Tip use a splash of vinegar
I used to work for a window cleaning service in Houston TX. We used Palmolive dish soap.
Great tip. Thanks.
Thank you, I will do this! I bought Windex & sev'l types of paper towels b/c most had a coating on them that made the inside window SHINY. Rinse, repeat! Your vid popped up in my feed, &, honestly, it was a gift from God. THANK YOU! / Glenn Allen
Seeing you use your socked foot to awkwardly wipe the windshield is exactly the laugh I needed today. Thank you! ☺️
Pro tip with the dawn clear dish soap. It also makes the glass and whatever else you put it on have a bit of anti-fog properties too. Used to use this on my fishbowl mask for hockey works like a charm!
No residue ?
That’s great!!
As a window cleaner for over 17 years This is the same method we use for cleaning windows in houses.
Do you cut it the same ?
How do you prevent the cleaning solution from running all over the woodwork and/or floors?
@@sassysandie2865 your wash wand or sponge does not need to be dripping with water, wring it out before using. If you have a lot of drips/water running down the window, your using too much water
@@JosieB2017 thank you!
Excellent!
I tried everything every thing shown in this video, EXCEPT for using my foot... That "move" alone is worth watching the whole video. Cheers Chris!
Thank you for the tips. Your demonstration of what we all do was great. Made me smile.

I don't envy you the traffic.
Worked GREAT , 14 optima sxL windshield almost laid flat and clear as a bell. THANK YOU
Thank you for taking the time to share!
Thanks for that and thanks for the super thanks!!!
One of my major pet peeves is a dirty window on the inside. Thanks for this clever tip.
That's great!
Great as always. For the outside, use steel wool to remove sap, bugs, water spots and stuff: it is softer than the glass and pretty much harder than any of the junk 'glued' on, and leaves the glass very smooth and will not damage it.
4-O steel wool Im guessing? What* about Brillo pads?
Chris Fix recommends using Magic Erasers

Been putting this job off for a long time... not any more
Thank you!
loved the foot and rag method but unsure if I could have ever gotten my leg up that far; tried it once on a date when I was 18 and it didn't look very ladylike and I ended up with a bad leg cramp (I am 62 now and can't even imagine raising my leg over dash anymore).
Thanks!
Spray way is the best!
