I have the same issue. I notice that when the sliding window on the screen door is open it will shut. it may have something to do with the build up of air pressure between the doors.
Somehow when it was holding the door open it came off in my hands. Would I be able to put it back on or will I need to replace it I can't find anything on Google. Thanks

Thoughts on getting the screen door to stop slamming? Adjusting the pneumatic screw doesn’t do it. Sticky small pads keeps it front shutting completely. Have adjusted the door screws themselves. Door shows level horizontally but slightly off at the bottom vertically. Did not have this issue with the old closer. Only replaced due to door frame clamp breaking - old. Have used old and new parts. Seems to get worse with every open/close. Extremely frustrated. Way too much time. Poor neighbors! Two screen doors on a pool cage. Bet I’m driving them nuts with the slamming. Help please!

My piston rod won’t come out of my new storm door spring. Are you suppose to twist it to make it unlock?
Yes, you should need to twist it slightly to unlock it!
