  • The best photo lab is one that you have tested and love the results. But there are a few things you should always look for when choosing the best photo lab for your photography.
    - Excellent quality of prints and packaging
    - Fast printing and affordable shipping
    - Easy ordering process
Additionally, you should compare a lot of labs. I have tried countless labs, and unfortunately, some of them just don't meet my standards. Colors are way off, the craftmanship is bad and the list can go on.
So please test them all out for yourself before you decide.

I also use whitewall for all of my acrylic prints and I love them.

I took a tour of Millers a couple weeks ago. Spent an entire day there. Good people. The original Mr. Miller took WW2 photographs which most of us see in our history books. That is how he got his start.

Stay away from Nations Photo Lab (and far away from websites that claim they're the best because they were probably paid to say that). They never get the color or lighting right, even if you use their color profile/calibrate your monitor to meet their specifications, etc. Nothing will ever work with them. Huge waste of time & money. Probably great for non-professionals who don't care too much about color/light accuracy.

MPIX has a lame shipping method where UPS picks up the photos and delivers to your local post office to deliver to you. Hugh? Doesn't make sense. For what I was charged for shipping they could have mailed it. Now it's been over 2 weeks and still no photos even though they were "shipped" almost a day after I uploaded my order. Tracking will not update either. I don't know what the pictures look like, but I doubt I will use or recommend MPIX.

Could be dependent on your area. I've noticed FexEx and UPS are doing this for a lot of deliveries from a lot of companies. It's not specific to MPIX.

Adorama isn’t any better. I have no complaints with Mpix so far.

I just ordered from MPix early Monday morning and I'm going to receive my photos Tuesday, The 1 day shipping is great since I live in Hawaii usually our shipping methods take longer but not with MPix since its by shipped by FedEx. I just hope my prints are good.

OK you just threw a whole ton of info and curve ball there at the end. Are you available for some discussion on this topic a bit more in-depth? From my perspective I have a smugmug already getting ready to upgrade to include profit sales through them. Already have a url linked and stuff. Hate the extra work of thinking of changing things. OH FYI I currently use millers and a way to clunky ordering experience for my customers.
