In London, the elected Mayor - Sadiq Khan, is the equivalent of the Police and Crime Commissioner and is responsible for the totality of policing in the capital (outside of the City of London). But to be fair to Khan, I think knife crime is up in other large cities, so could be the Tories fault..

My thoughts are condolences are going towards the family and friends of fourteen year old boy, mostly for the the family at this difficult time they are going through.
I also hope the friends at the school of this boy gets professional help with losing someone they care about.
Once again my condolences goes to all are hurt by losing a son, brother and friend at this sad time.
