Fun fact! In the manga it is shown that Kyoya had feelings for Haruhi but put them aside because he found something “more precious”, his friend Tamaki’s happiness :) isn’t that so sweet of him awww also Kaoru sneaks the the Ootori house one day and Kyoya wakes up and Kaoru’s just chilling on kyoya’s bed and kaoru calls kyoya cute 😂💀
That was hinted in the beach episode when kyoya gets on top of haruhi on the bed. He had the urge to do it because he wanted to show her a lesson of how reckless she was when she risked her life for those girls at the beach. But haruhi knew he wouldnt because she knows hes too nice of a guy. But you can tell he likes her a little, hes just better at hiding it than his friends (this also ties into how he hides his true self from other people in a later episode). But yeah he definitely treasures his friendship with tamaki over his relationships with girls. I think all the host club members had crushes on her but it was really subtle.

The trick, besides their voices, it what side of the screen they're on. Typically, Kaoru is on the left side and Hikaru is on the right. Even during the "which one is hikaru" game they stick to that
The voices are a dead give away. I can always tell when Hikaru's voice actor is in a show because 1) He's my second favorite host and 2) it's super unique

Ethan Kellerman their voices are different in both sub and dub, but in English it’s much more noticeable! In Japanese, Kaoru has a breathier, slightly higher and “sweeter” voice while Hikaru sounds more “boyish”. Honestly in sub sometimes I can only tell who’s who only after they’ve both spoken

Even if you assume that he was only doing it to figure out what Haruhi is afraid of, it’s still messed up. That episode took a real nosedive once the molesters showed up.
I was intrigued and terrified. Loved that moment, but the show is PG and Haruhi ruined the audience's fun. I hated Kyoya yet appreciated his everything from that moment on.
My favorite ship is actually Kasanoda x Sendo. Just that well-meaning guy who’s misjudged because of his looks with the cute guy with a sad backstory who understands him!

Was not expecting my ship Kyoya x Kaoru. Never really shipped anyone from Ouran until four years ago when I decided to re-read the manga and noticed their interactions and every scene they were alone together. It could be a well rounded wholseome relationship
they genuinely have lovely scenes together where kyoya learns about kaorus social knowledge while kaoru listens to kyoyas book knowledge When i reread it it kinda felt kyoya went from having a thing for tamaki to genuinely caring about kaoru

Especially during the sports festival when he tells Kaoru "I don't need everyone to understand me just the people who already do is enough" and the whole Karou slipping into Kyoya's bed pages where Kyoya genuinely tells Kaoru to be safe as he's leaving. At first I enjoyed Kyoya's friendship with everyone and then it moved onto their alone time until I realized "shit I ship them" Also side note Kyoya is one hell of a friend. I need a Kyoya in my life

To me, it seemed like they were trying to break her (since she's mentally strong) so that she would "realize" that she was "weak" and rely on them. Like, they had good intentions (to protect her) but their behavior was selfish and gross. Especially kyoya.

In the manga it is shown that Kyoya had feelings for Haruhi but put them aside because he found something “more precious”, his friend Tamaki’s happiness :) isn’t that so sweet of him awww also Kaoru sneaks the the Ootori house one day and Kyoya wakes up and Kaoru’s just chilling on kyoya’s bed and kaoru calls kyoya cute 😂💀
That was hinted in the beach episode when kyoya gets on top of haruhi on the bed. He had the urge to do it because he wanted to show her a lesson of how reckless she was when she risked her life for those girls at the beach. But haruhi knew he wouldnt because she knows hes too nice of a guy. But you can tell he likes her a little, hes just better at hiding it than his friends (this also ties into how he hides his true self from other people in a later episode). But yeah he definitely treasures his friendship with tamaki over his relationships with girls. I think all the host club members had crushes on her but it was really subtle.

The trick, besides their voices, it what side of the screen they're on. Typically, Kaoru is on the left side and Hikaru is on the right. Even during the "which one is hikaru" game they stick to that

American equivalent would be saying only Mori could make Kyouya have “bottom energy/vibes.” That’s a simplification of the term, but no one else in the club could even come close to being “dominant” in a relationship with Kyoya XD

Ethan Kellerman their voices are different in both sub and dub, but in English it’s much more noticeable! In Japanese, Kaoru has a breathier, slightly higher and “sweeter” voice while Hikaru sounds more “boyish”. Honestly in sub sometimes I can only tell who’s who only after they’ve both spoken

Was not expecting my ship Kyoya x Kaoru. Never really shipped anyone from Ouran until four years ago when I decided to re-read the manga and noticed their interactions and every scene they were alone together. It could be a well rounded wholseome relationship
they genuinely have lovely scenes together where kyoya learns about kaorus social knowledge while kaoru listens to kyoyas book knowledge
When i reread it it kinda felt kyoya went from having a thing for tamaki to genuinely caring about kaoru

@@roseclouds5838 I felt that way too. I know he's close to all of them but they way he just opens up to Kaoru sometimes was character growth and made their moments that more special. Especially during the sports festival when he tells Kaoru "I don't need everyone to understand me just the people who already do is enough" and the whole Karou slipping into Kyoya's bed pages where Kyoya genuinely tells Kaoru to be safe as he's leaving.
At first I enjoyed Kyoya's friendship with everyone and then it moved onto their alone time until I realized "shit I ship them"
Also side note Kyoya is one hell of a friend. I need a Kyoya in my life

In my opinion the anime was meh and the only two episodes that were good are "the day Kyoya mey him" and "the door the twins opened" The manga needs an anime adaptation, sadly that's probably never going to happen since it's not really popular In Japan anymore.
