I really loved this anime back in the day it’s too bad they couldn’t adapt the manga fully but it’s still pretty good. If you end up enjoying it I fully recommend reading the manga.

I'll probably add this to my comment on the next episode since I just remembered this so late. There's gonna be a few episodes where there's language that's no longer really accepted anymore. Just maybe wanna add a disclaimer in the description about the year this came out and how it was the accepted language of the time. I'm sure once you get there you'll know, but just in case I'm gonna watch it again to remember which ones exactly

Edit: ironically enough it didn't click that I was non-binary until almost 2 years ago. Even though this has been my favourite series since highschool. And I always connected to Haruhi. We love our Enby Queen!!!
And yeah.......this show definitely hams up the twincest (mostly for laughs) and some subtle incest (again, for the host in shenanigans) amongst other, later characters.

I only ever watched the sub version, so hearing Ed from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood be Tamaki is such a surprise
Ouran is one of my favs! I think the episode "The Twins Fight! (Episode 5)" is one of the best. It dives into the back story of the twins, but it is actually really well-written and has a little more depth. The visual storytelling is great. If you enjoyed the first episode, keep watching! It's a great series. Second fav episode has to be episode 16, "Operation Haruhi and Hikaru's First Date." The episodes with her Dad are funny, too. Well, it's all funny, lol! Maybe a little outdated at times, but still a fun ride! I could do without the Lobelia girls, though.

Omg I'm so excited to watch this reaction! Ouran is the show that got me into anime when i was only 10-11, and it has such a special place in my heart. It's both a hilarious satire of shoujo tropes as well as a heartwarming story of found family ❤

Wait I finished the anime a few weeks ago, going back to the first episode; there was one person I thought was really familiar in the later part of this series. Also, I will always say this: Haruhi is real for the "Listen, I don't care if you recognize me as a boy or a girl. In my opinion, it's more important for a person to be recognized for _who_ they are rather than what sex they are." And this anime was way ahead of its time for that. Heck, this anime is far more progressive than anime or _media in general_ today.

the perfect show to react to after the king of shojo that is fruits basket. A great dramaedy, mostly satirizing shojo tropes, though it definitely has its more serious moments. Just try not to take the gags to seriously.
