It truly is an awesome set and I’m so looking forward to building mine one day. I’m thinking I might tile the floors on my modulars as they look unfinished but will add to the cost of course. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and look forward to seeing you build your next modular. Cracking idea on changing the faces btw, I will probably do the same.
Only problem with Assembly Square is that if its your first one you may be a bit underwhelmed by the others (apart from maybe Parisian Restaurant or Detective's Office). This set is probably one of the best Lego have ever made in my opinion!
@@HighTeaToys My first set was Diner, and then Parisian restaurant, and I am working on assembly square now. Same as you, they are all great! I love diner's colour theme, details of Parisian restaurant, fixed formal modular buildings element in assembly square. I totally understand the joy that you talking about while building them. It is like black hole that you can't get out once you start one set of modular building...you just want to get more and more....hahaha...now my biggest problem is I need space!!!!!!!!
@@mathmo969 They are all amazing and all super different as well which makes it even more fun. Once you build them you won't want to go back. Space is an issue though. Uploading a video tomorrow where I talk about progress on the lego room but I have already ran out of space for new modualars, and I still want to get the Bookshop and Police station and maybe the corner garage so no idea where to place those XD. Hope you find a way of incorporating everything :)
I was doing my reserach for Double VIP weekend and found your review which tipped me over to get the Assembly Square. I’ve been wanting to start on modulars, too, and I’m glad it’s still around. Cant wait to build it now! 💛
The reason why I get this: "Oh crap! They are going to discontinue it! It's already pricey as it is now, I won't be able to afford it in the future... Eff it, I'm getting this now or never". Just got it delivered today... My plan is to assemble it if I ever get to move to a new place as a personal celebration. Nice review you have here!
Very sensible, you can see it with the diner. It only retired this January and already it is going for 50-100£ more then it was (there are exceptions obviously). Modulars are a great investment and a fantastic set so sounds like you made the right decision ;)
This is a great review. You had me at no stickers. I think it might be time to pick this up while Lego is blowing them out in 2023! Seems like a great base for MOCs too.
Forget slippery slope; Saruman has flung you off the tower! I’m enjoying your enthusiasm and appreciation for these little buildings. 🙂 But, right there on the table: the Tardis! Just out of my reach...🤨
OMG my parents r like "u should not buy lego it is a big waste of money" and I always imagine buying new sets but then whenever I go to buy them my parents R SO FUSSY ABOUT IT I mean it is MY MONEY like WTF
Does anyone know what the tree-like thing is supposed to be on the rounded corner of the 3rd floor AFOL apartment? Is that a Christmas tree? Telescope? Lol

A fair point, but I have now build the Parisian restaurant and am working on the Diner and I love them. They are all fantastic in their own way :D

I have several modulars still in box. Once I move to a bigger place I’ll start assembling them and I’m leaving Assembly Square for last

I have a whole city on one table.....it's just dependent on how big is your room.....oh and this took five days for me with lots of mistakes.....

If you mean the light grey sculpture I believe that is meant to be the Eiffel Tower. Hope that helps
