I really like that yellow and white one you made Steve. It's a shame you can't sell them tho because lots of people would be interested in them I think. You made the whole process of making a mould look so very easy. Thanks for always providing us with the links to all the stuff you use, not many TH-camrs do that so it's really appreciated. God bless you and all those you know and love. Have a lovely weekend!

Great tutorial on mold making and how to. Cool mold. ❤ the box making. I was lazy and bought one with clips. Actually two in case I needed something big. 😉

I love the colourful one it reminded me of the green man, in fact if you made one with a greeny brown colour it would look amazing. you could stick dried moss to the base of the mould and then pour resin over it to give the look of wood.

I always get confused with which way to place the object, face down or up,love the color of the Green one very pretty.

Steve, approximately how many epoxy resin castings can you get out of a silicone mold before it degrades?

If silicone is on Platinum, then several tens of thousands of pieces.
If on Tin, then 100 pieces, over time Tin is destroyed.

Question, have you used a new (I think its new) or heard of an item called silinot? It says it's a reusable silicone mold? I have ordered it but I had hoped to find some tutorials on TH-cam but when I looked I didn't see any. It says you heat it in the microwave, pour it over the item and let it cool. Then you can use whatever you want to create the item, then you cut it up and put it back in the container. I know it sounds straightforward but I get a bit nervous when trying new things so thought I'd ask lol 😊.

What do you do if the object isn’t flat on the bottom ? An animal I want a mold of isn’t flat on the bottom. How would I remove the object leaving it a usable mold ?

What happens if the item you want to mould doesn’t have a flat bottom?

    • @crimeandcrafting

You have to make two molds. One for the front and one for the back. I use rubber bands to hold the two halves of the mold together
You have to pour from the top

Evening Steve, not sure if you have gone over this in a previous video but how do you cut your acrylic/acetate sheets? Is it just a knife? I can never get a clean cut like yours and I’ve even been naughty and used my laser machine on it and yes failed miserably lol 😂
