Yeah, I really enjoyed reading this gem. I'm not even that big of a gamer, but it's insightful to learn how something as simple as an earthworm in a space suit could become such a huge pop culture hit.

I have that poster hanging on my wall. I've also studied Doug's writing method; he has a very physical and rational writing approach. His advice such as starting with your end scene and then working towards it could really work well for the more rational writer "architect" types; though my own approach to writing is very intuitive based making me an exception amongst writers. I also prefer to have digital files which I find makes keeping track of things much easier then say writing on a typewriter and then laying out large index cards on your back lawn or something.
I could never do it Doug's way. I keep a notebook, but it rarely gets filled with more than twenty pages of information before I begin writing. I'll know where I'm going, but hate knowing the details of the ending before I've even started writing. I find that it pigeonholes the characters and leads to a less fulfilling experience. For me, I need to know my world, my characters, and my first act intimately before I can start writing. Sometimes that can take a couple-three weeks, sometimes a year.
Its a great book, I have it myself. I do not closely follow the Comicsgate infighting; if a book looks interesting I will support it. The big hurdle for crowdfunded comics (especially for customers outside North America) is in my opinion the postage costs and overall perceived value for money.
Agreed. I've found it to be much more enjoyable and easier to put my book on Amazon and just advertise it through this channel. It allows the book to be printed throughout many countries and get to folks elsewhere for a quarter of the price it'd take for me to ship it from the states.
@@CryptoComics damn I swear I loved the games n the creativity in this character, I wished this IP was with Ubisoft as they would of used the same engine as Rahman Irvine/legends. Also missed out on the comics. Am so annoyed.
The regular cards have cheat codes for the video games on the back.
