    I have one of these mounted in my 31 foot with separate bath and bedroom, I keep it set to 20c and it cooks inside! very very seldom does it kick in and run to catch up. You will have NO problem staying warm in that truck camper, I don;t care how cold it is outside...lol Great video, Thanks for sharing! anyone thinking about one of these even if you set it up to keep your tent warm, you will be a Happy Camper!!

    Those things are amazing. I installed 2 of them in my 30 foot cargo trailer conversion 1 in the front and one in the back and in 30 degrees weather it keeps my trailer over 70 in medium speed so you’ll burn in that little space. Lol. By the way the smell is due to the diesel burning stays in the intake for a while until you go thru like 3 to 4 tanks and also keep as much away as you can the intake from the exhaust. Good installation

      When I moved back to Oregon seven years ago I had a cargo trailer and that’s exactly what I was going to do with it I think it’s a fantastic idea. And a diesel heater would work great in that application. I have realized that mine does not run well on a lithium battery or at least my goal zero so make sure you’re running it on a lead acid battery. Thanks for watching Charles

      Your little buddy heater puts out 3800 btu's and there are 3412 btu's in one kw (kilowatt). The smallest diesel heater they make is 2kw, so that is the one you want IMO! I have a 10"*6" cargo trailer and the 2kw heater works great in it! Piney Hollows Homestead Thanks for the tip, I may try that on my next install. For some reason this particular heater is on his third fuel pump my friends are still using the original pump that came with theirs, I think I’m going to chalk it up as a shitty unit and just put in a new one..

    • @20mcarroll02
      @20mcarroll02 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ADVwithRoscoe wow, I've never had a problem with my pump. Remember it needs to be mounted with the outlet higher than the inlet, about 30-45 degrees according to what I've read, and also you want the fuel line to be running uphill from pump to the unit, otherwise it can trap an air bubble which will make the pump run, but not pump very much fuel. I also ordered one of the silicone pump mounts, and never hear mine.

Originally it had a Suburban heater but I don’t want anything to do with propane. I keep seeing videos on these heaters so I’m strongly considering it. Also, even though my rig runs on gas I’m also considering hydronic water heating for the shower. I’d remove the original heater and put the new one in its spot. There is nothing wrong with asbestos gaskets. Frankly I doubt the Chinese would be using asbestos when fiberglass would do. Do they emit CO in the passenger cabin? If they did, it would have already been caught. However, ANY TIME you use a combustion heater, a WORKING CO detector needs to be in place. I doubt these heaters have low O2 shutdown like a higher quality heater would have, however they draw combustion air from outside.
