    Thank you. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. I was also able to figure out how to write a message for the inside of the pre folded cricut cards for the card mate.

    Loved your video. Someone may have already had this suggestion but I didn't see it.
    I make the rectangle for the card and after finding the place for my message and just before I make it, I hide the rectangle and it doesn't cut it out. I can unhide it to check myself if I need to. I can match up the lines to see where to place my verse so I don't have to guess.

    Yes there's a way and I did this with envelopes that I drew on them. on the square you have to put it as score instead of cut and you don't insert the score tool, just let the cricut "make believe" it's scoring and you're done. It will write the message, "fooled scoring" and done. I don't use the top of the mat, I set my pieces on the 1 x 1 inch lines and it works perfectly fine.

      @@CreationsbyKimberly I actually finally got this after giving up, walking away from the project. I now know how to "fool" the Cricut in doing what I want to do. Love fooling it and yes it's great we can do this. I've learned more how to's on the Cricut, from watching other people like you teaching us the how to's (sorry brain is backwards today). ♥☺

    Hi Kim,
    This was very helpful, thank you. One thing I am having trouble with is when I make a card, I want to draw a boarder on the card, when I attach it, for some reason I can see the Grus behind the card and it says it will draw and cut.... so I tried it and it does draw the line, but it then cuts it off. What am I doing wrong?

    • @CreationsbyKimberly
      @CreationsbyKimberly  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me see if I can help you. Assuming you have created a card on your mat make sure you change the line type of the border from “cut” to “draw”. Then attach it to each other. Let me know if you need further help.

    I messed mine up as I had to move the text closer together - which I did. However after that I didn't know how to separate the text box from the card and couldn't make the text box smaller because the card was always selected, not the text - which I was unable to select. Got in a muddle and gave up. Once you have done something wrong, I couldn't find a way out, so I quit. I am very new to this, (only owned my machine a week) but do have knowledge of Office Suite, which helped in some ways. BTW your design space appears to have more 'workable' area visible than mine - the bar on the r/h side takes up too much room. Maybe because I have a newer version?

    • @CreationsbyKimberly
      @CreationsbyKimberly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry to hear that you had those struggles. If it gives you piece of mind, I've been using Cricut Design Space for over 10 years and occasionally do struggle with the features it offers. Make sure you allow the updates. Don't give up. Trust me, once you get the hang of it you'll absolutely love it. I'm not sure what you're referencing regarding the "workable" space...if you'd like to send me a screen shot or picture of some sort I can help you resolve it.

      If you place your cursor on the edge of CDS you'll see it turns into an arrow. Click and hold on that arrow and size it. This can be done on the top, bottom and sides. Hope this helps.
