Dude this was such a great video demo’ing a simple task. Thank you for putting it together and showing the process clearly. Your video is better than the official Ryobi demo video, imho. Nice work! 🤙🏻

I appreciate your video, however the bolt on my ryobi is stuck and won’t budge even with a combo wrench, wd-40, and hammer. It’s crazy ! I’m not the only one with this problem. Glad you were able to get your blade changed out so easily. 👍🏻

That’s unfortunate.. just to double check, remember the blade bolt is backwards. It’s “righty Lucy” in this case. Or maybe someone else forgot at some point and Hulk Hogan’d it on by accident

@@texasturner2313 brother I just went in the garage and tried again today, and got it, when I tell you it took everything I had I’m not kidding. Had to put in on the floor, put gloves on, grab it by the blade, and put my whole body into it. A 180 pound construction worker should not have to be doing all that to change a damn blade 😂

There is a lever to push on the right side of the chop saw that will hold the blade in place while you tighten and loosen it. You don't have to touch it with your hand

This video is terrible for that exact reason this person should not be instructed vids about anything if he thinks grab the blade is a good idea

I have a battery operated one and I just realized the Allen key has a star point on it, so I didn’t really need an external tool. Ryobi’s user experience is pretty decent.

    2023 FOR ANYBODY WATCHING:
Follow all the rest of the instructions from the video about removing the former screw to access the blade bolt in the first place..
1: Take some type of lubricant i.e WD-40, spray the nut and bolt that you are removing. Wipe any excess.
    2. Put the short end of the Allen Wrench provided into the bolt. Then instead of turning with your hand, take a hammer and tap the Allen wrench end where you would normally place your hand to turn it.
Make sure you are tapping towards the CLOCKWISE position.
No extra tools including a wrench etc needed. This method knocked it loose for me immediately. So I hope it helps you. 💪

Nice and this helped, but, but I'll add that there's a button you can depress and if you spit the saw it will go into a notch and hold the saw while you loosen the nut. it's a little black button on the right side of mine, probably yours, too. but thanks for the help figuring out how to lift the shroud!

That saw should answer a lot of quesstions if the Ryobi saws will last. That thing has been through the ringer. I have the same saw and have never had a problem with mine, although I don't use the laser.

You might be mistaken claiming your miter saw blade is dull and it can no longer be used. It's kind of hard to believe that the carbide tips on the blade go bad. There's a chance the tips have gunk and resin from the lumber which are covering the sharp edges. To remedy this is to get a lid from a 5 gallon buck to use as the wash tray, degreaser, and a scotch brite pad.
