My daughter is looking for a good mic she can plug into her laptop while screen recording a digital pad, as she is an artist. Would these mics work for that? At this time, the problem we have is the audio only records from the computer speaker, which is terrible!

I'm using an old Audio technica ATH-M50. (Super old; I bought them to last awhile) Could be on my end but on the Sampson I hear a hissss in the background. The others are clear as day in comparison.

Just published my 6th video yesterday and now finished watching a TH-cam how-to video that recommends live streaming. Will definitely look into these products for how to set up a live stream. I never thought it would make sense with a smaller subscriber count but looks like I could be wrong about that. Thanks!

I bought the SM7B and added the X2U to be able to use it on my Mac. The sound is amazing to say the least. If your not on a budget I would definitely recommend this combo right here. I also use it on my podcast as well as for voice overs on my videos.
Do you have to use a cloud lifter or is the boost enough on the X2U to support the SM7B on its own?

Great to see this video! While I'm still obsessed with the SM7B, it's $400. The MV7 is $250 on Amazon, but the Samson is only $99, and from what you've shown us, it's a great microphone!
I can't keep putting off starting my channel because I don't have "the Joe Rogan mic" - and many many others, but that's what people seem to know. I digress.
It sounds like the Samson is going to be a fantastic way to start, and if, in time, I want to "upgrade" to the SM7B, I will. But for the price and quality, I don't know what else I'd be waiting for.
I still need accessories, of course. And the Rode ProCaster aint cheap! But the mic looks to be settled for now.

I just did a review comparison of Q9U, MV7, SM7B, fifine/ maono mics as well, and agree completely. the Q9U took the victory over all of them for the best value mic - Only $99 now as well!

What's wrong with the Samson q9u is that you have a very large chance that it just stops working out of nowhere. Very Great Mic all around, but this issue is something I have encountered twice now with the Samson q9u. I will be rockin the shure mv7.
Thank you, this was VERY helpful! I was really at a loss as I got a ton of on-line interviews coming up, so I needed a mic that looks and sounds professional and also works with my laptop. I got Deity VO-7U with boom arm kit, fingers crossed it'll do the job! Can't thank you enough!

I am going with the deity for sound qaulity plus esthetics for streaming. Using elgato stream deck plus for the audio mixing so other software doesn't matter as much.
I think if you are going to compare you should only compare usb c connection since they all can't do xlr. Obviously the xlr is going to give it better sound in my opinion. Nice video though just saying from a comparison standpoint we need to keep it on the same playing field.
I'm going with the Samson. Sound quality seems good and as a new podcaster, I'm on a budget at the moment lol
Shoot, all three microphones sound fantastic. If I've to choose one on which microphone sounds the best, is Samson Q9U (versatile & less pricey compare to other two mics). Great video.

$120 Q9U has more proximity bass boost. 2:36 noticable listening to Deity VO7U 5:38 MV7 comes w/ Motiv software to tweak sound - intriguing; could be useful

I have recently used the Samson for an interview. Interesting facts here. I would love to know what the mic set up would be to record symphonic gongs and Tibetan bowls.
I'm a newbie to livestreaming AND I'm a female with a higher voice than you guys. My first mic was the Rode Podmic. I personally, didn't like it. Then I tried the Audio Technica AT2040. So much better with a higher range voice. I've been looking at the Samson as I have a couple of Samson wireless mics for my cameras that sound good. Thanks for the review. I'd love to hear a women's voice on each of them 😁

I’m not sure why everyone forgot about Audio Technica. They have been in the studio microphone game for a long time. It would be like reviewing 3 high end cars and not including Mercedes.

Video Idea? I'd be more interested about the editing or equaliziation part. You did mention you used the VideoMic Go 2 yourself. I already bought a bunch of recommended microphones already (Blue Yeti, Wireless Go 2, VideoMic 2) but I have never been very happy with any of the choices. And thats because of the inconsistency between the sound of the recordings (without changing microphones ofc). Either within the recording (like if you move your head during a recording slightly) or between sesssions (if you are just 5 cm farther away or speaking into it at a slightly different angle). So my latest choice was the VideoMic 2 and to place it farther away (70cm) so that a few cm difference wont impact it that much. However it does sound bad at that distance. But if I put it closer to myself I get stronger inconsistencies again. So what am I supposed to do? My latest Idea was to do it in edit or so. But the only choice which kind of seemed to deliver ok results was an acon de-verb plugin which in itself costs 100$.

Hey hey, so I decided to go with Samson after watching many videos like this. However I will be using XLR to record the sound into Zoom H6. So the question is which voltage setting should I be using with Samson Q9U microphone? I don’t wanna blow any micro circuits up inside the microphone.
Dude..... you missed the RODE mic. The mic itself might not be the best but paired with a Rodecaster thats built for it you can get amazing quality on those boards with the settings in real time.
I have the Sure M7 already and everyone comments on how good I sound with it when Im on calls. What is the best lapel mic you would recommend?

@@LeoDizonMendoza I wouldve said the Sure M7 was the best mic for sure… but the sound quality in this video Sampson was the best and cheapest imo. My Sure works out of the box and has nice software with it. It just seems like the sound was a bit lower than I wouldve liked. Definitely prefer the additional volume of the sampson.
Well my SHURE MV7 just broke yesterday, because a bolt came apart so it broke the usb port, which is surprisingly easy apparently. The sound is very good tho and I loved the mic through the almost 2 years I had it. Just a shame it can break that easily, just by a little fall from my mic arm to my desk.

I have a vtuber channel on TH-cam and Twitch and will soon be adding Facebook to that I will be multi-streaming to them soon too, the mic I have is the Elgato Wave 3 there are often other noises near by that sometimes are and sometimes aren't heard in my streams and edited videos that I post to TH-cam. What mic would you recommend for me or is the Elgato Wave 3 good enough? I prefer usb mics

Hello. My friend and I want to start a podcast, but we don't have a lot of knowledge about the subject. However, we really want to do it as it is an event we've been wanting to do for a while. What kind of microphone should we choose for a beginner level? Do we have to choose a model with an XLR input? I have a brand new SM7B Shure Microphone and have no idea how to set it up for making TH-cam videos. I have the spring loaded arm as well. Brand new. A brand new Focusrite amp. No idea how to incorporate all this new expensive stuff to make videos
