Last 3 games 2 before his injury has went for 9 tds and 1 int 1 fumble. He has been great. This stat includes this game. I dont understand the qb controversy. There is none. Get these coaches out of here
@@JACKXK-Fields played a really good game. That loss was 100% on coaching. There is controversy. Bagent is a good backup but at the end of the day, you don’t have to game plan for Bagent. This staff is horrendous!
He however has consistently turnover a ball in games. In each game where he has had a chance to win it - he turns it over - always. This game is not on him for sure but what I said is a fact.
@@rhdtv2002nah its on him if we actually had a QB instead of Fields we would have won, example Goff he had an awful game but when the chips are down he moves their team and wins, Fields couldn't do that if his life depended on it he is a choker.
@rhdtv2002 he isn't the only player or aspect of this team that inconsistent. Nothing about the Chicago Bears the last two years has been consistent enough as a whole. That we should be applying that word to just Justin Fields. You have this kid throwing to Dante Petis and Equimineous St Brown at one point last year..... they were starting, and we shocked that he may turnover the ball when trying to make plays. Fields has his flaws, but it's alot he does good out there and doesn't get credit for it. While pass protection gets to be inconsistent, coaching gets to be inconsistent (it's been two years and the Bears offense still doesn't have an identity). Defense gets to be inconsistent (except when they consistently gave up 25+ points in 15 straight games). Justin Fields should not have to play a perfect game everytime out in order for the bears to have a chance of winning. Jared Goff certainly wasn't perfect, and the Lions got an W. Consistency is a word that should be applied to the team from top to bottom.
@the1magageneral323 did you not see Jared Goff.... he almost threw 5 picks, and his team was able to win. Cause more than just the qb could be counted on to do their job. Goff doesn't have to play a perfect game everytime out. Yet, we expect that from Fields.
@Haugh Very astute of you, my friend, on the need to get Fields confident to maximize his potential with this offense work. To me, getting him running early seems to be necessary, [as they did against Detroit on the 2nd play of the game], to get him feeling involved, and in turn confident. An additional point, would be in the 4th quarter, when Justin was feeling it, I think Getsy needs to let him do his thing. If that happens, we/they finally can figure out if Fields is our franchise QB. If the conservative play calling continues when the Bears have the lead, I feel we'll forfeit this critical stage to truly evaluate him as the Bears franchise QB.
David - Totally agree that they should have helped the Rookie vs the Pro bowler on the play with less than 30 sec left. Love the big rookie, but dumb coaching to leave him on an island.
I appreciate Haugh constantly pushing back on the Getsy praise from Dan. Getsy does some things right, but as an NFL OC I believe the bar is higher than that. Just like it is true that Fields has great talent but that isn't enough for an NFL QB.
Justin fields was the offence once again and in the 4th coaching took ball out of his hands. Coaching the problem. Justin has has past 3 games looked like our qb. Coaching calls is stopping him
Really I think he is the QB with the ball in his hands, if he was worth anything he would audible when he sees the D has line loaded, but Fields can't read D so he just runs the play given, that's not good QB play, cost us the game.
He has had 3 Opportunities THIS year, and 7 last opportunities last year to lead a drive to win or take the lead at the end of a game. He is 0 for 10. Tommy Devito showed more in 1 game than Fields has in 34. If you are a Bears fan you should want him gone.
So tired of this nonsense on Fields. It reminds me of when the Chicago sports press were calling for Lovie Smith's head. Playing in the NFL isn't Madden,
169 yards passing, 1 TD one game losing turnover is the new standard around the NFL especially when they're limiting the amount of time he throws. This guy will never have a winning record as a starting QB in this league. At least he has insufferable Bears fans to make endless excuses for him.
Inept coaching staff practically stole the game from themselves. Non aggressive gutlessgetsy and slobby flusy soggy defense in the 4th. Heads should have rolled 9am Mon morning
DE stamina like Hutchinson/Maxx Crosby is rare. It's exhausting pushing/sprinting from the edge in the NFL. If Sweat plays 100% of snaps [to make you happy] and is in there very tired and under performing, how does that help the Bears? My point is, please stop complaining about seemingly every minute detail of the Bears. This is getting absurd. On NFL's website, they have their panel of 10 'experts' make their picks on every NFL game. Each of those 10 people have season records and the best 3 each had the Lions winning by AT LEAST 2 TDs. I'm quite confident that if all Bears fans were polled, well under 20% of them would have predicted the Bears would have beaten the Lions on Sunday. If the Bears pulled off the victory on Sunday, that would have sent shock waves throughout the NFL. Almost all of us expected them to lose against the Lions, so stop acting like the Bears lost by 27 to the Panthers. The Bears were awesome against the Lions! Not for 60 minutes, but they were great. Give them credit because they deserve the credit. This season, they definitely need positivity and support. To spend time on Tez's snap count % is silly. Look at his history. 0 seasons has he played over 70% of his snaps. ZERO. There is only a 2% difference this season between Chicago and Washington. [67% and 69% respectively] In fact, Sweat's first 2 seasons were his lowest snap count % played and he managed 25 QB hurries and 16 sacks in those 2 seasons combined. When a player needs a breather, let him catch his breath. This happened recently with DJ Moore. He needed a play off because he was gassed. He makes a ton of money, but players aren't perfect, they're human. They get gassed from time to time and giving them some plays off to get back to 100% is wise in my book.
I'm finally seeing that people really don't know what's wrong. You have new coaches all or in new roles. Year 2 new GM but the GM doesn't call plays or play so it's not him. They probably will be good coaches ONE DAY they are learning how to coach. You add that to a young QB and this is what you get. Somebody has to have experience. Young QB needs experienced coaches Packers coach was a new coach with an experienced QB. You see that the Packers are really not that much better they just have a better record. Honestly we should have won this game hands down
The title of this is all you need to know about this guy. I really hope we get rid of this modern day Tim Tebow next season. I was so disappointed they went this route when they drafted him. I don't hate him as a person but I'd prefer a pocket passing QB who can read a defense. This guy is not that. Our backup QB with the same coaching staff has almost as many wins. He's not a franchise QB either but it looks better when he plays. How long we gonna do this for?
From what I have seen Fields is the best option. Williams behavior and performance has been questionable at best not to mention he doesn’t bring anything to the table that Fields doesn’t. Maye looks good against lesser opponents and looks like trash against formidable opponents….I’ll pass on those two. MHJ should be our number #1 pick and shore up our line and get a decent edge. And above all get rid of these clowns we have coaching.
Fields had 4 extra possessions he still only passed for 160 yards and one touchdown and still manage to crumble in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. If Justin Fields just had one of his "best games" he should never start for the Chicago Bears again, unless the starters injured.
Dude accounted for almost 300 yards of offense & the offense had 26 points. Fields didn't give up 2 scores in 4 minutes! That's on the coaches. Learn the game or go watch soccer

Am I the only person who saw Justin finish the game with only 169 yards and 1 touchdown? Everyone keeps talking about this game as if Justin passed for 500 yards and threw for 5 touchdowns. Justin was below average yet again. Bears fans are so used to seeing poor quarterback play that any time a quarterback doesn’t look like hot garbage, they think he had a great game. For any elite quarterback in the league, Justin’s numbers in that game would have been one of their worst outings ever. For Bears fans, he was amazing and needs to be the quarterback of the future. Everyone needs to calm down; wake up, and stop analyzing Justin’s stats in a vacuum. He was below average yet again, because he is below average. The Bears need a MAJOR upgrade at the quarterback position.
This city has gone so long without a great QB, that no one can identify one. Fields is NOT it. Look past his pathetic record as a starter. Look past his pedestrian numbers. Just look at his ability to come up clutch in big moments and the guy chokes HARD! 33 fumbles in 37 games is very telling of who this guy is.
It isn't the team, it's the coaches. Period!
