We're all happy that Porsche is now in every new racing game but leaving RUF behind is not acceptable. I love the 911(930) Turbo but I also love the Yellowbird.
This channel with it's forgotten cars videos really speaks for the people who actually care about interesting content and not satisfied with the same 50 NPC cars that are in literally every racing game like the GT-R, Aventador or the 10th gen Evo. As an A9 player who has mixed feelings to this game (i find it alright, nor good, nor bad for F2P people). ME412 is very P2W and only appeared in its event Furai is F2P. I own one Same can be said for Cien, although it may take a while to get it (it can be unlocked in an event which runs every Sat-Sun) Shelby GR-1 is F2P too (however will take a while to max out) The W12 Nardo, on the other hand.... You gotta be lucky to get your hands on one considering the car is very good (probably only beaten by Mclaren F1 LM in its class) and its only possible to unlock it in a special event which will re-run every year or so. And a lot of people will tryhard on it
it that got into production it could probably became at it's time the real game changer , beating a CGT, Enzo, Zonda, SLR, Murcielago a supercar made by the brand for the people (volkswagen : people's car)

@@zachariah74 audi didn't have that much of a pedigree to make a supercar and look at the R8, the Nardo could have a similar outcome.( the nardo had everything to be a success ( faster than most cars of it's time proper design, an as a vw it couldn't cost as much as it's main competence) and that's not the reason why this one was canceled( this and the audi avus are essentially the same car) it's because vw was closing a deal to buy bugatti and was already thinking about how the veyron it could be represented in many other models : Bentley hunaudieres (double colored body (front light (rear bugatti lights), same engine ( N/A in this case)) Audi Rossemeyer (the front is literally the same as the veyron one, same engine (N/A)) don't talk as loud if you don't really know things. Also, if it was supposed to be so unsuccessful, how is it that people still talk about it today? think! A car that beat 7 records are you saying that it would be a failure? of couse I have to laugh

This is a good list. Only two cars I'd add is the Panoz Roadster and the Panoz GTR-1. Shame that the Panoz brand doesn't get featured much in games anymore I grew up playing Midtown Madness and always wanting a Roadster
The Panoz GTR-1 in it's glorious Purple Midnight color, heck yeah, & the gray color, it looks outstanding in those colors I think the car got featured again in the newer Grid game, i think it was called as a Q9 or something, idk if it's any different, hopefully this will allow it to appear more in newer racing games, i also miss the Panoz Abruzzi

I'd add 2nd gen Lotus Elise to that list. Kinda the only games that represented it lately were Forza Horizon 3 and 4, in modern NFS games there's exige instead of it
What breaks my heart even more is when cool cars are actually in the game already but you can't drive them. Instead you get them as traffic cars or parked cars. Mazdaspeed3 is a prime example of this.
I like these videos, they are very helpful for inspiring me to add unusual cars to my game, for example I have a Fiat Multipla and the Autozam AZ1 aswell as the legendary 1st gen Mercedes-Benz A160

The Holden Monaro absolutely deserves more love. The past few times I've seen it in a game, it's been the Vauxhall Monaro VXR, and that just isn't quite the same for me.
The Speedster shown in the video is actually the Speedster Turbo. GT6 was the final game to have the 2000-2003 Speedster, but the first game to have one as a playable was MSR: Metropolis Street Racer.
In fact, there are really a LOT of cars that can be used as such examples, but I personally miss the non Cinque Zonda's in the latest games: C12, F, F roadster and others
The very sad thing about some of these cars like the W12 is that they are probably in legal hell because nobody cares about them and they only pop up in mobile games cause those people are just loaded with cash and throw money at the problem. And the rest are probably exclusive. An example that pops into my mind is the McLaren SLR which was in the original 2012 Hot Pursuit but isn't in the remaster and is essentially absent from all games except Gran Turismo.

I really wish more of the 2000s road cars appear in newer games, I'm still dreaming about some "Need for Speed 200" which features only cars from the 90s to the 2010... Because for me, these decades have some of my favorite cars. Maybe it's just nostalgia due to me seeing these cars in my childhood.. I'm not sure you understand what underated means if you think the Carrera GT fits that bill. It's one of the most prevalent Porsche models featured in almost all modern racing series except NFS and some of the full Sims and even outside racing games the sound is iconic.

Jaguar xjr-15 was in gran turismo 2 aswell
RUF yellow bird was also in gran turismo 2- gran turismo 4 aperntly it will come in gran turismo 7 currently there is RUF ctr3

A lot of cars in Driveclub are only featured in Driveclub. E.G. Renault Twin’Run Concept and Peugeot EX-1. So I guess you could say they are forgotten
The Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept needs to be featured in modern racing games. It was everywhere in the early 2000's, but its nonexistent now.

My biggest gripe with modern racing games is the car selection, newer supercars and cars in general just don't have soul.
the Chrysler ME-412 and Volkswagen W12 were my favorite cars in Test Drive Unlimited because of how obscure they were, even more so today.
i miss the Pontiac GTO & Holden Monaro. they were my favorites to drive in the mid 2000's NFS games.

*Hot Pursuit 2010, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren along with others cars was removed from the remastered version due of the license expired.

probably because they either couldn't find the good model in games like Asphalt 9, PGR3, TDU1 to rip them from or the problems with the latter
