I think that originally the purpose of the song was not to win, just to show the middle finger to the juries. Winning wasn't the most important thing, just that this song went down in history as the most epic bet in Eurovision history. Thanks windows95man for a great show.

After a few weeks I can safely say this is my favourite of the year. It's exactly what Eurovision should be (funny, goofy, not serious) and everyone's just having a great time.
Even the camera crew were in on it!

When watching the ESC with friends, we alI were convinced Finland would win. We were crying and laughing while watching the epic performance 😂 The voting result was a complete shock to us.

I don't quite agree, but I tend to demand a lot from singers. His voice is a bit thin and as the pitch goes higher you start hearing hiss because he's struggling. The highest note is a bit short of what it should be. I would say he's good enough for most pop but I think he would have sounded better if the pitch was even a half step down. This could also be somewhat addressed thru mixing because it has been a bit off in Eurovision quite often. It feels as singing was competing for frequency spectrum with other "instruments".
Is no one gonna mention just how 90s this entire performance and song is, like this is like something you’d hear on the radio in the late 90s-early 00s. And I love it

I'm from the UK, but I always wait for Finland's entry with anticipation. Windows95man did not disappoint. Few acts cater to my fond memories of Windows 95, my love for tongue in cheek camerawork/choreography and my appreciation for the irresponsible use of pyrotechnics in one song.

Finlands used to it, being ignored by judges. At least people got fun and a laugh out of it.

I love this song and at first I thought this was gonna win for sure, but then I saw other countries entries and almost everybody had a very good or at least a good entry and wasn't so sure if win95 was gonna win anymore.
And then Netherlands came and had that explosive perfomance and energy and I hated to admit it but Netherlands was gonna win for sure.
It was that good. The song itself in my opinion is not as good as no rules but it's really good also and the chorus makes it, and they make up the lack of melody with the song with everything else.
This was a hard year to succeed because there were so many good songs.
Not regretting one bit to send this. I had fun!

I Honestly think that The Code by Nemo Mettler is the very best song that has ever won this contest. I also honestly think that this song, No Rules! was a STRONG second in this years competition.

ESC is much more than just songs. For example countries that are facing difficulties are usually voted more than the others and they usually win and so the contest goes next year to the winning country of this year in order to boost the local economy. All in all, the ESC is about reaching for those in need and helping each other out as a community which is put into the form of a mildly commercial song contest.

In my opinion this song is much better than the song sent by Finland last year. I cannot explain the results.
I dont know how the finns do it but they have the ability to make me repulsed at first and become addicted later. Crazy catchy song.
Because it has many layers. You can watch it several times and each time find something new. The outer layer is shocking, and makes you repulsed (What! A middle-aged naked man). Then you perhaps begin to listen to the lyrics, and you'll notice, that it has an empowering message about self acceptance, and you'll notice, that the seemingly outrageous staging actually supports that message, then it will make sense. Then you notice, that the beat is actually quite catchy, and makes you addicted. And in the end you'll notice, that this are actually quite endearing chaps, doing what they love without holding back.
