Hi mate, Great to see you've got a nice motor with that lovely boat. That will make life a lot easier getting about! Petrol too, much easier than a 2 stroke plus they're like a bag of spanners! There's nothing like getting out fishing with the other half! Ive tried so hard to get my lass to take it up properly but she just likes coming out odd times! I think my half would get along with Hilda! They seem like the same peas from the same pod.😂 They look after us and ignore our lunacy and stupidity! Looks like you're going to have a great time with the new boat. All the best.

Lovely boat :) You need to get an automatic bilge pump so you dont worry about the boat filling up with rain water. Take a look at our boats down around Ross castle in Killarney for different methods of attaching them. Also only use ones with a float switch, the electric water sensing type are too sensitive and dont work in our style of boats.
Great video as always Vincent, if I can give you a tip here it is only to use E5 petrol in your engine, yes it’s a little bit more expensive but it has additives that will protect your engine. This was told to me by a marine engineer, he said E10 fuel will be the death of all outboards. Your engine being brand new will run on E10 but believe me E5 is the only fuel to use.
Thanks for the great tip it's one i will use. The engine runs on fumes it takes a litre and a half to fill it and it runs for days on that. You just look at it and it starts. So i must look after it like i do my chest. 😂😂😂😂😂 Thanks for watching and for your great comment cheers

I never minded rowing. But rowing all day gives less time for fishing the fly which is what i love so the engine is a great asset. Cheers for the great comment.

Cork marine was the shop its opposite the cork train station at the other side of the river Lee. 5 year guarantee what more can you ask for. If Paul the man working there doesn't have it he will get it for you a really nice man. I was going to get a second hand one but my wife said No!!! you will have no comeback. But paramount is to have hobbies and plans to take up new challenges and adventures and spend more quality time with your wife, family, etc. It will prove to be the best time of your entire life, take it from me... there should be nothing to fear in retirement... a reward for your lifetime of service. More time to travel at home or a road. Make a 🪣 Bucket List...fill it with 🐟 fish 🐠 🎣 in your case... I suppose. 😃
