His species are called Lasat. Their design is from early concept art for Chewbacca from the first Star Wars movie, way back in the mid 70's. Voiced by Steve Blum.
I was today years old when I learned that about the Lasat. Thank you!

That alien dude that was drinking with the starfighter guy is one of the crew from rebels he’s great!
The Empire mined a vast amount of beskar which is what Din was paid with to locate and return Grogu for experimentation. The warlord that had the beskar spear also shows that the Empire was trying to get all of the precious metal that they could.

What's wild to me is Greef talking tough about Nevarro defending itself but they don't have a single ground-to-air/space gun in the entire settlement. All that fancy new construction and they had absolutely no defenses of any kind against attack except a blaster on his hip and the IDEA of the New Republic, which they arent even a part of.
I wonder if, whoever took Moff Gideon is wanting to frame Mandalorians…like, Thrawn and/or Gideon wants the New Republic to target Mandalorians so they’re occupied with them and paying even less attention to the Imperial Remnants, so they can enact their plans without interference…

I don't know if Rebels and Clone wars would be up your alley, but they offer a lot of answers to some of your questions about Mandalorian culture and different groups of Mandalorians. But its so much content to get through. That purple guy is a character out of Rebels, and another Rebels character has been cast and is likely to appear soon. She has a lot to do with Bo Katan and the darksaber.

@StruggleNation The Mandalorians want vengeful justice ⚖️ for Moff Gideon's war crimes, especially the ones he committed towards their people and planet. So there's reason to believe that the Empire retrieved Moff Gideon and placed that Beskar there to frame the Mandalorians 😠😡😰😱😓.
