You were doing amazing kpop story these days Stephanie .Can you also talk about Blackpink Jennie and BTS V dating rumors which has been happening since last may when they caught in a trip to jeju by a passerby and now 3 months later someone leaking their pictures having date, mirror selfies and their company isn't confirming or denying anything .Their dating rumors is very big on South Korea , even sbs ,mbc ,kbs news portal covered this news but both YG or BIGHIT is silent on it.Jennie received huge amount of slvtshaming from that boy group fandom .Just yesterday YG released a statement saying they will take legal action against whoever will distribute her private photos without her consent ,Can you give your take on this story? this is very big news on kpop so i want to know what do you think about this

This is genuinely so sad how women are being treated in such high ranking families to the point of suicide, it just really goes to show that marrying into a high ranking family doesn't always mean well.

Marrying into money usually end up being like a pet to the family. It's more of a curse than a blessing, it's better to marry into a family that treat you as an equal and a son or a daughter in all their rights.

    • @SamanthaP48
      @SamanthaP48 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

Not always. If anything I would think it’s worse to be expected to fulfill my families dreams/goals rather than be able to find somebody I love and start a family. As a first born son you get slightly better treatment but there’s so much more responsibility that comes along with that & unless you happen to be part of the very few hyper vigilant top CEO type business women and also want to shoulder the responsibility of a family business.
Personally I would groom whichever child had the most Drive and genuine desire along with natural ability and appreciation. However the point is it’s not all fun and games and the boy gets this great prize and the girls all get left out. They usually get you also Mary a successful shooter if they choose to do so as well as not carry the weight of a family legacy. I will secure my families legacy by raising my own children and making them into strong young men/ladies. For me at least nothing could be more honorable position. Especially in These specific families where everyone is rich regardless.l

As a kid who owned a Sony phone, I can assure you, Stephanie, that Sony did in fact come out with a series of cellphones in the 2000s that were branded as Walkman. The phone series was called Sony Ericsson (under the Walkman brand). I owned several models from this series. I think they were one of the first to fully incorporate music playing features into cellphones. Cuz you know, previously, music was typically played on a separate device, such as the Walkman CD player or a mp3. Their whole marketing and selling point was that you no longer needed to bring a 2nd device on you when outside.

Honestly the point about how the sons (allegedly lmao) are "stupid" and the daughters are more capable is I think rooted on how koreans (and a lot of asians) raise their kids. Traditionally, mothers are the ones constantly at home with the kids and the ones who raise them, and mothers tend to dote on sons (esp firstborns) because the society made it so that more honour comes to women who give birth to sons, so there's that mentality. The sons are spoiled rotten by the mothers while the daughters are forced to understand that "boys will be boys" and tolerate their brothers' antics, and even work around it.
I didnt see how problematic this behaviour is and how it affects even the good boys until my friends got married to these guys and told me all terrible sh*t in their marriage. The worst of these boys will turn into a direct abuser like that guy whose wife unalive herself, and the best of these boys will always selfishly put him and his mother first, his family second, his child third and his spouse fourth, and in a spousal relationship that means tolerating and giving in to the husband more times than the wife would like to. A lot of the times, they also have this unforgiveable immaturity abt them that doesnt fly in real world (e.g. careless with money, not understanding that they sometimes need to endure work to get by, belittling wife's complains, etc)

Hi Stephanie, Girl you got me so hooked on your videos. I started binge watching last week and I can't stop. I was wondering ( may I suggest) if you could possibly come up with a "E True Hollywood Story""Type of show about Asian celebrities. There are so many I personally ( and I am sure a lot of your viewers )would like to know more about and you have a superb story telling ability that keeps your viewers entertained. Won Bin, Gong Yoo, Yang Mi, Hu Ge , Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li and Michelle Yeoh are some fan favorites ( or at least mine😊).Cheers to YOU👏👏

i actually looked into these things ^ and turns out there’s a lot of falseness. the alleged assault was not sexual. and it was most likely in self defense if you read the statement. and the outing thing, was completely fabricated and they even came forward and apologized for taking his statement out of context.

Wanna come here to say that in your latest podcast ‘ the rape of Nanjing ‘ , I’ve heard of it before and have watched a ton of movies about it , hear some story from my grandma because I lives in Southeast Asia but never really know the detail of it that much ,but after listening to your podcast it was very eyes opening ,thought provoking and make me think about how lucky i am to be born in this era . Ps . I was bawling my eyes out while Listening and for those who haven’t check her latest episode out yet please do

I’m from Nanjing, I didn’t know Stephanie covers that history in her podcast! So grateful that she uses her platform for good. She also covers the infamous crime of the chained woman the other day on her main channel. The rape of Nanking/Nanjing is definitely a historical pain deep rooted in the identity of people of Nanjing 😢

About the natto, you should take a portion and start mixing it until it makes like a white gooey substance! And i promise you that it’ll taste much much better!
There was even a tv show here in Japan where they showed the best way to eat natto. They said the more you mix it the more flavor will come out! (Aprox. 25+)
My favorite is natto kimchi where you just mix natto and kimchi together ❤

As much as she's amazing for slapping Samsung, she had done it easily because she also came from a moneyed family. Her revenge only worked because she had enough money to burn, but if this was a normal woman (like that ex-husband's bodyguard), I doubt she could do much, she would be flattened.

Never thought of an iPhone as a power move. 😂
A Walkman was a cassette or CD player that was cordless so you could walk with it. Otherwise you needed to be by an outlet or carry a "boom box" which was kinda big to carry on a run or long walk.
I have a lot of samsung products. This explains why when I met a couple women from Korea they were so excited my phone was Samsung. I understand pride for your country, but as an American it seemed a lot.
"What happens when you're all married?" Hemophilia. This is one thing that happened to European royal families.
