Fun fact!: the captain is the original agent 3 that we played as in the first game! You can even customize them when you first meet ex-captain cuttlefish to look like you!

If you want some advice on the whole health thing, here is some (prepare for a relatively long comment):
- Normally you have 100 health on your armour and when it breaks, you'll know because you'll start having red particles around you. When you have no armour, you are very vulnerable and any damage at all will splat you (other than stepping in enemy ink, which cannot splat you but only damage you)
- Those normal octarians who shoot blobs of ink do 50 damage to my knowledge.
- You can heal health by hiding in ink. Hiding in ink can also get your armour back.
- The weird suitcase things that you pick up is extra temporary armour that lasts until it breaks and it acts like your normal armour but just an extra layer.
(Nintendo may have changed some things since Splatoon 2 so some of these might be inaccurate but this is what I think is true)

@@ZXMany another quick tip, if you pick up one of those armor suitcases while missing your normal armor you instantly get it back, same with hitting a checkpoint while hurt.

YESS! You're doing Splatoon 3! Yeah the Hero Mode is very fun! I've beaten it and all I can say that it sure is something.
I've basically completed all the requirements to unlock the final boss, except for completing the 3 bosses I need to complete lol, I was attempting the boss which definitely has a few SMS references and I was struggling on the final phase so I gave up, but yeah it's amazing
@@ExperiencersInternational the tip for that boss is use smallfry as a distraction! Also use the Sensor upgrade so you can tell which one is real
@@ThatSortaPerson yeah I've already got the sensor one already, I was using splat bombs instead of smallfry, thought it might have made it easier
The hero mode honestly just has too small of a level requirement in 3, like I've completed 8 in the first area, and 4, 3, 1, 2 and 1 respectively in the other areas.
I still haven't got far in 2's either, only made it to stage 6 atm

really cool perspective to see someone cover this game! i havent seen many people playing splatoon 3 without having also played the previous ones. i think the story mode is great to start out on because it teaches you a bunch of the mechanics while also letting you try out a good variety of the different weapons available. hope you'll continue this series!!!
also a quick tip- when you're swimming up a wall, you can mash b to swim up faster, or stop moving and hold b to charge a "squid surge" so when you release b it shoots you upward quickly. it can be used to jump up higher than you would normally be able to reach just by swimming. you can also do a wall jump by aiming the stick backwards from the wall and jumping

Nintendo actually took the animal crossing voice from Isabella and they added some weird noises and they mixed it with Isabella's voice until they found a good voice that sounds like what we hear from Splatoon 1 2 and 3 today

actually, i think animal crossing uses voice synthesizers, while splatoon uses actual voice actors speaking/singing in gibberish (but filtered to get the "underwater" sound of their vocals)
