Very good looking knife. I still have a Schrade LB7 Uncle Henry that I bought at the factory store in Ellenville, NY in 1985. Still good as new 36 years later. I like smaller knives about the size of my index finger. I think they are the most useful size.
That is the knife I have and it is the 320T and I too love the look and feel of the knife and have left it in the box it came in. This knife don't look like it is made in China, but it is and the people at Schrade made a well designed knife and I love it so much.
At the camping section at Walmart they have a cheapy one it was four bucks telling you the quality of it is very nice I was surprised it would have been okay at a $10 price tag.
Another good video. Did notice quite a bit of editing jumps in this one. Very unusual. Where are Old Timers made now. I've hear it is in China and not the quality they use to be. Can you confirm? Keep me coming.
+bmlove21090 I'm still learning the latest version of iMovie. And they are made in China but I can't say if the quality is better or worse. All I can tell you is they seem to be very well made for the price.
Nice one. Though I'm not much of a carver. It's still nice to know I could make a chain or pot, or, fish hook, etc.. Maybe some kind of stream paddelwheel to fill your Berkely filter on extended camp
Ive had an uncle Henry schrade 181uh Bowie knife for half a year now and the nickel silver guard looks like it's beginning to tarnish. How do I keep it from rusting? Will wd40 help?
Sometimes, simple "whittlin"'"...is good for one's peace of mind. I also really like this size of knife for EDC and I'm a big fan of lock backs. Simple and strong. My USA Buck, "500 Duke" is over 30 years old and going strong.and according to their website, is officially licensed by the Boy Scouts of America, for the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout®. And it seems Little Stinky wanted some of that apple! Ha! Nice review...nice knife! Thanks Bryan!
@Survival On Purpose Love the Knife, Love your Channel. I'm A Blade freak myself and have a good collection of Buck and Schrade Lockbacks, including a Bear (old Brand) with Antler Handle Scales that I carry Every Day! But I Must Know...What is the Deal with your Friend Mr. Skunk?
I wish there was no such thing as ''modern weapons'' I like the older weapons from before 1990. They caused alot more destruction than the new high-tech weaponry. But still a great looking knife to use for simple things.
I think a small folder should have a clip and a thumb stud. Instead of using a sheath. As a design that no one really does. Why not use a square lanyard hole. Then companies could make a universal clip. Or use a lanyard. That people could put on or take off as they choose. You should trap that skunk before your dog gets it. ;+)
for the last 7 or so years i have carried the SOG Twitch 2 pocket knife.it has been the best pocket blade i have ever owned. nice video brian.glad this one did not need calibration.it seemed right from the first glance but you dont know till you hold them. kinda like women.
these cheap china made Schrade knives are of pretty poor quality in my opinion. From my experience the locking mechanism breaks fairly quickly and the blade leaves a little to be desired in edge retention and ease of sharpening . You should consider reviewing the Schrade LB7 as one of the most perfect folding knives out there. Small enough to carry everyday, but still large enough for serious work and survival. Made in the USA knives can still be found used on ebay for very reasonable prices. They were made for many years in the USA before going to china around 2004. Just make sure it says Schrade LB7+USA on the blade just above the handle. I bought one for my boy recently for about $30. I've carried mine for at least 25 years of hard use and its been my only knife on many long wilderness adventures and its never let me down.
+jtoddjb I too long for the days when you could find good, made in the USA gear for a decent price. I have to tell you, in my opinion, Schrade does a good job of making good quality gear at a fair price. That's the reason i feature them so often on my channel.
I got mine and I love it! Beautiful knife and I love the added sheath.
I gotta say, I respect you so much I love your videos and your attitude thanks again and keep up the good work
Old school looks and feel. Sheath is outstanding as well.

What a great aunt.
I just read Mr. Schrade invented the pushbutton switch blade.
Cool. Who doesn't like switchblades?

Ive had an uncle Henry schrade 181uh Bowie knife for half a year now and the nickel silver guard looks like it's beginning to tarnish. How do I keep it from rusting? Will wd40 help?

My Grandfather would have passed it down when Old Timer actually meant something.
+TimBlankJ Still a nice knife.

+Atomic Gamer Hmmmm. Not sure what weapons have to do with this but I agree that it's a good looking knife.
That is true. Hey, I get pretty random myself all the time. No offense intended.

Survival On Purpose Yup, its just like sleeping with my ex wife.

+Charles Larson bargains galore!

+Charlie Breslow I don't think Buck has guitar woods ;-)

Good analogy. You also have to treat them both with care and respect, or you might get cut ;-)
