Offline bots and the campaign were the only reason I buy these games anymore. I grew tired of not being able to put camos on the weapons, and said I wasn’t going to purchase COD anymore. If BO6 wasn’t coming to GamePass, I wouldn’t even play it.
I'm done with CoD. The last few years they constantly completely break or cripple offline mode and then don't fix it for months. I definitely won't be getting Black Ops 6.
Me neither. I think my yearly CoD purchases are over as well. Don't waste your $$$ on these games anymore. And Activision taking down a really good fan made mod a couple months ago if you know what I mean.
Unfortunately guys, this is what PC players have been dealing with for a long time. Online required to even launch recent CoD games on PC, even for local matches. I hate to say it, but ppl not raising a bigger fuss about this on one platform meant Activision thought they'd eventually might make it the case for ALL platforms.

WHAT??!!! I heard somewhere that the game was under development for 4 YEARS!!! For an EXPIRY DATE GAME?!!! Activision always ruins the offline support every time since mw 2019 except for vanguard and mw3 but still mw3 was broken. Because of OFFLINE BOTS (youtuber) the offline bots in mw3 got recognition. I am disappointed because black ops 6 looks soo good and clean!! They did it with black ops cold war too. Bocw looks a like a fun game. It was one of the most excellent cods. Anyways I am glad that I don't own all the cods, fortunately there are other older cods to explore :) (And sorry for the over exaggeration I just wanted to convey my message. But this is how I felt when I heard the game was online only.)
They made the campaign and zombies require internet so the game can run smoothly. This could’ve be done without requiring internet connection but would take much longer to code.

The time given for the development and hell lot of codes is a big pressure to the devs, even though it was four years but creating a top notch game takes a lot of time and hardwork. Codes in thousands of lines which include bugs are painful. Here they are indeed justified. But they should have done something more to make their hard work a worth. I mean no one will play the game in the future then for whom they are focusing the most (because they pay 70 dollars instantly without even thinking twice, what twice they don't even think a single time) except we players who play local multiplayer of older cods made decades ago for the sake of fun and also they are cheaper atleast the game is still playable in the future. It might be very few times I complain about games but this is too much!!
Thank God for indie developers in this era of gaming. There are so many amazing shooters that will make you forget about Call of Duty. And there has been a revival of boomer shooter if you're into that. Echo Point Nova, Selaco, Severed Steel, and Turbo Overkill are fantastic single player games. If I have a Call of Duty itch, I play the older games. They've made so many now that it feels like a fresh experience to go back to them when I do. And the best parts? There is no problem playing them offline and many of them have offline bot play.
Yeah hundreds of amazing indie shooters, it's just the military shooters style yet to come. I hope after all the indie Boomer shooters we start seeing mid 2000s style ones. Agent 64 looks great
I am so glad that I have officially stopped buying newer COD Games, activision has even admitted that the newer and all future COD’s are all gonna be live serviced, We no longer even have rights to own a video game, our customer consuming rights have been taken away from us, Ubisoft even confessed about customers not owning any video game

Playing with bots in this game was a joke to me. I played against veteran bots, and they could see me through walls like, what? Plus, the bots all use the same weapons 😭. It's so boring, even when you're playing against bots.

I'll only monetarily support games that can remain playable in a REAL capacity regardless of server/population status. After 2019 has bots that couldn't use killstreaks and field equipment (with local multiplayer needing an activision account); with cold war having bots way too easy compared to bots of similar difficulty in other entries; I've given up on newer entries of COD. And an ONLINE ONLY campaign??? This is insulting compared to black ops 4 that at least cut out what they weren't willing to work on. I like bots because you can only play a campaign so many times before it feels less organic. Bot multiplayer maintains a game's single player viability. ...which isn't the most profitable for a yearly release, online multiplayer focused franchise; so, I guess it was always going to come to this.
its kinda strange in mw2019 the psn says always online, but you can offline. i realy imagine everybody cant play the game for connection errors and more, the servers now are horrible.
We should spawn this video on the Activision networks so that they pay attention once and for all, and I say that it is possible to add an offline mode, it is just a stupid excuse about the transmission of textures. Imagine what happens if the servers crash or close your game for which you paid?
Not surprised really, which is why I also support server emulators and bot mods Goldberg emu, S1 console, Pocket relay, IW7 etc... and console emulation net plays.
@@OFFLINEBOTS yeah, mostly PCs considering the games industry is trying to shift to games as a service - online only, hopefully communities of bot creation and modding will grow out of necessity. Emulation is well established, and server emulation is becoming a thing. There are two examples of bot modding/creation made out of some games having their multiplayer online only. Gears of War classic collection PC - a modded version that has bots edited and working offline. ( I have it and the bots are quite impressive just get from....Internet Archive...which unfortunately is down atm due to ddos and hacking attempts recently) Mass Effect 3 - there is a modder creating offline bots right now...beyond command lines. I'm going to test it out soon.
It probably is quite a lot but sadly the fact it is online only will increase microtransaction conversion rates higher. sadly this is modern gaming, AAA wants to chase MTX whales with cosmetic BS, instead of just selling the game. It's honestly stupid how they just don't make it Free to play and ONE system like COD mobile is. It's a bizzare business decision.

In my opinion, if you want a good classic style CoD with offline bots I would recommend MWR. It has plenty of content, and the bots are challenging and play like real people.

Just when I was having high hopes for this game. Until now finding out, everything is online only. May Activision's greed be there downfall. Yes Activision keep screwing us over because eventually soon you'll go from Activision to Deactivision. Someday.
I had an instinct in my gut that this was going to happen years ago dating back to WW2. Infinite warfare was the last true offline COD title. As for the always online debacle, i blame the mainstream idiots that let it happen, you guys gave em power & you know who you guys are. & judging by the gaming ecosystem they're f*cking hippocrates (minus the mandatory kinect BS). Xbox pretty much confessed what those 360 type of gamers were... Gamers who don't care for offline & buy digital only titles. Seriously to all those mainstream gamers who switched to ps4 why lie to yourself, you should've stay at the xbox one. You've claim to be against what the XB1 is & what it represents yet you're doing exactly what you'd booed in 2013 but on ps4. However this doesn't represents all who've purchased a XB1 or a ps4. As for me, my stance was clear since the 90s. I loved playing multiplayer with my Brother & friends on N64, but sometimes they wouldn't feel like playing, so i was alone. Smash 64 had bots & i was hooked since then. There's a reason i hold killzone in high regard. I'd considered it the king's second of command of offline bots since 90% percent of installments had it. & minus liberation since it was a top down dungeon shooter, that leaves us with Mercenary. It didn't had offline bots but they apologized by adding it as a purchasable DLC & with full multiplayer trophy support minus 2 online trophies of course. Meaning they'd rectified this mistake. As for COD, the undisputed king of offline bots is still ghost. I got it on PS3 first, purchased all dlc expansion packs & platinum it. Afterwards i got it on 360, then the WiiU, which it's still in the console as i type, & lastly the Xbox one physical, digital with all DLCs & purchased again digitally with all DLCs on a secondary XBOX account for my family & I still play it to this day on my XBSX. If you wanna start your journey on offline bots i recommend these games/franchises. ● The smash bros Franchise- particularly all of them minus WiiU, yes i hold 3DS in high regard & brawl may be flawed but it has heart. As for WiiU, don't just don't, they never fixed that bug in which you have a ticking time bomb in which you can't view all your collected trophies, their official response is to uninstall then reinstall your file to fix it. I'm serious. ● The Mario kart franchise starting with DS & onwards. Not MK8 WiiU, there's no point when the Deluxe is superior. My personal pick is DS & Wii. ● The Killzone franchise. The prince of offline bots FPS. If there's 1 I slightly don't recommend it's shadow fall. Besides that nearly perfect. Seeing as gears stopped true offline bots with Gears 4 & COD stopping this with WW2 & fully killed it with BO6(not including MWR seeing as it was digital to begin with, i saw it more like call of duty classic HD on the PSN store way back during the PS3 days). & don't even get f*cking started with halo infinite introducing offline bots then removing it on season 3 & no one saying a damn thing about it. ● TimeSplitters Trilogy. The GOAT of Offline bots. There's so much to gush about. Just buy it, play it, you won't regret it, you'll love it... unless you get offended by the female character's... curvy assets. 😅 *_Honorable mentions_* ● Nether realm studios. Starting with Injustice 1 & ending with Injustice 2. I'm not gonna add MK11 & especially M1K. There was some always online features in injustice 2 such as legendary Multiverse requiring internet & selling gear as well. But that's about it. If you're confused on MK11 watch smokeys beef video on MK11, he'll fill you in. For Mortal 1 Kombat... don't just don't. ● Tekken franchise. I would've put it on the top list but there's a title that ruined that streak. Starting from Tekken 2 onwards they've always had offline bot V.S. CPU mode. Where you picked your fighter & fight bots. You can't pick your opponent nor the stage however, but at least it ain't any of the capcom fighting game collection. As for the title that ruined that, it was tekken 7. Tekken 8 later fixed that. Thank God. ● Star wars battlefront games. Would've put it higher but EA ruined that with EA battlefront 1. Though they've added alot with EA battlefront 2, the damage is done. Not to mention ive got some issue that makes the camera drift or slip like soap when adjusting my sensitivity & no it's not my controller drifting nor dead zones. It's the game's controls. It pretty much wants you to play in 3rd person mode with default settings. Battlefront games i recommend are the pendemic & rebellion battlefront games. If you had to play EA battlefront games offline then obviously by default i recommend EA battlefront 2. *_Other games_* ● Metroid Prime Hunters. I've had many great memories with this game. Taking prime 2's multiplayer & making it better. I main Sylux back in the days. I've wanted him in smash as a metroid representative but many youtubers called him a nobody but you can bet your bottom dollar i was hype to see him when i 100% prime 3. Now the same people are acting as if they always knew he was important. BTW shout out to The Orpheon for being a true Metroid youtuber. Ever since dread we've been getting alot of posers. ● Kirby Air ride. What can i say. Other than it's fun. Especially City Trail. That mode inspired smash run on smash bros 3DS & what makes it superior to WiiU. ● Custom Robo Revolution AKA Gamecube. Great game to play offline bots. You're gonna have to play the campaign to get new robos, part, stages, etc. However. ● Killer Instinct 2013. Not much else to say. Great fighting games. Great characters, stages, killer soundtrack from Mick Gordon, Cell dweller, & Atlas Plug, & No BS inputs like traditional fighting games. It's a little grindy though & you have to beat a boring mode on a cheap difficulty unlock a beautiful stage though. ● Rare Replay. Contains perfect dark XBLA. It has offline bots. Plus 3 goldeneye maps & 5 goldeneye weapons. Which is the closest you're gonna get to a offline bots goldeneye 64. Plus if you have a crackdown 2 save file you can play as the crackdown 2 agent in multiplayer, which is cool. ● Red faction 2. Don't get 1 it's pretty free for all. 2 however had TDM, better variety of weapons & stages. ● Quake 2 remastered. Same as red faction 2. Don't get 1, get 2 instead. ● Quake arena arcade. Has TDM. Lots of maps & character models to choose from. If you're a Quake or ID fan you won't regret it. I'm gonna have to stop. I've typed a waterfall of texts. If you have any questions ask away. Cheers.
It honestly baffles me why they didn't cut the cord years ago, personally it makes logitcal business sense to just make it a FREE 2 PLAY title as much as I'd hate it. Should just make multiplayer free 2 play, 1 engine, 1 system like Fortnite. constant updates. Then do a solid dedicated campaign game ever 3-4 years

Just about every new game needs that, it is unfortunate, an idk exactly why, probably because they are trying to cut back on pirates & or cheaters, or maybe because the damn thing can't run without a ton of support from online stuff, of maybe because it has to add more content during live gameplay, like trying to keep the game more steady, or trying to download textures, maybe that was the only way they could keep the amount of storage needed below 200 gigs. Could be a combo of some or all of those thing's, Idk it is ridiculous, but that is just how games are now a day's.
That's completely wrong. I work for Doesitplay testing games, the majority of games are fully playable off disc without updates. Even then this isn't counting ones that just need updates then work offline. ONLINE ONLY INTERNET REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES GAMES are more common but out of the thousands of games that come out every year it a very tiny percentage.

@@032_m.alfathcirrus5 incorrect, It was WWII that introduced mandatory updates, but the CONSOLE versions have worked offline AFTER updating. WWII, Black Ops 4, MW2019, Cold War, MWII and MWIII on console WORK OFFLINE AFTER UPDATING. I have OFFLINE footage on my channel for all of these. In fact even as far back as Black Ops 2, the PC VERSIONS only campaign is actually truly offline, Black Ops 2 on PC dosen't actually have offline bots. This is the first time the game including campaign for CONSOLE is ALWAYS ONLINE.

Couldnt care less. My xbox is connected online 100% of the year. I cant even remember the last time i had a wifi outage or a power outage. If the xbox or any other network goes down ill play another game ill go do something else playing call of duty isnt a must

But what does it matter? It is for the most part a "Online" game if you are offline there is only single-player and who the hell is playing single player a decade down the line on a COD game. People forget that even Black Ops 2s bots are online only.
With PC mods exist though, MW2019 and Cold War both got offline cracks at least.

I am disappointed because black ops 6 looks soo good and clean!! They did it with black ops cold war too. Bocw looks a like a fun game. It was one of the most excellent cods. Anyways I am glad that I don't own all the cods, fortunately there are other older cods to explore :)

They made the campaign and zombies require internet so the game can run smoothly. This could’ve be done without requiring internet connection but would take much longer to code.

The time given for the development and hell lot of codes is a big pressure to the devs, even though it was four years but creating a top notch game takes a lot of time and hardwork. Codes in thousands of lines which include bugs are painful. Here they are indeed justified. But they should have done something more to make their hard work a worth. I mean no one will play the game in the future then for whom they are focusing the most (because they pay 70 dollars instantly without even thinking twice, what twice they don't even think a single time) except we players who play local multiplayer of older cods made decades ago for the sake of fun and also they are cheaper atleast the game is still playable in the future.

Thank God for indie developers in this era of gaming. There are so many amazing shooters that will make you forget about Call of Duty. And there has been a revival of boomer shooter if you're into that. Echo Point Nova, Selaco, Severed Steel, and Turbo Overkill are fantastic single player games.
If I have a Call of Duty itch, I play the older games. They've made so many now that it feels like a fresh experience to go back to them when I do. And the best parts? There is no problem playing them offline and many of them have offline bot play.
Yeah hundreds of amazing indie shooters, it's just the military shooters style yet to come.
I hope after all the indie Boomer shooters we start seeing mid 2000s style ones.

Emulation is well established, and server emulation is becoming a thing.
There are two examples of bot modding/creation made out of some games having their multiplayer online only.
Gears of War classic collection PC - a modded version that has bots edited and working offline.
( I have it and the bots are quite impressive just get from....Internet Archive...which unfortunately is down atm due to ddos and hacking attempts recently)
Mass Effect 3 - there is a modder creating offline bots right now...beyond command lines. I'm going to test it out soon.

I had an instinct in my gut that this was going to happen years ago dating back to WW2. Infinite warfare was the last true offline COD title. As for the always online debacle, i blame the mainstream idiots that let it happen, you guys gave em power & you know who you guys are. & judging by the gaming ecosystem they're f*cking hippocrates (minus the mandatory kinect BS). Xbox pretty much confessed what those 360 type of gamers were... Gamers who don't care for offline & buy digital only titles. Seriously to all those mainstream gamers who switched to ps4 why lie to yourself, you should've stay at the xbox one. You've claim to be against what the XB1 is & what it represents yet you're doing exactly what you'd booed in 2013 but on ps4. However this doesn't represents all who've purchased a XB1 or a ps4. As for me, my stance was clear since the 90s. I loved playing multiplayer with my Brother & friends on N64, but sometimes they wouldn't feel like playing, so i was alone. Smash 64 had bots & i was hooked since then. There's a reason i hold killzone in high regard. I'd considered it the king's second of command of offline bots since 90% percent of installments had it. & minus liberation since it was a top down dungeon shooter, that leaves us with Mercenary. It didn't had offline bots but they apologized by adding it as a purchasable DLC & with full multiplayer trophy support minus 2 online trophies of course. Meaning they'd rectified this mistake. As for COD, the undisputed king of offline bots is still ghost. I got it on PS3 first, purchased all dlc expansion packs & platinum it. Afterwards i got it on 360, then the WiiU, which it's still in the console as i type, & lastly the Xbox one physical, digital with all DLCs & purchased again digitally with all DLCs on a secondary XBOX account for my family & I still play it to this day on my XBSX.
If you wanna start your journey on offline bots i recommend these games/franchises.
● The smash bros Franchise- particularly all of them minus WiiU, yes i hold 3DS in high regard & brawl may be flawed but it has heart. As for WiiU, don't just don't, they never fixed that bug in which you have a ticking time bomb in which you can't view all your collected trophies, their official response is to uninstall then reinstall your file to fix it. I'm serious.
● The Mario kart franchise starting with DS & onwards. Not MK8 WiiU, there's no point when the Deluxe is superior. My personal pick is DS & Wii.
● The Killzone franchise. The prince of offline bots FPS. If there's 1 I slightly don't recommend it's shadow fall. Besides that nearly perfect. Seeing as gears stopped true offline bots with Gears 4 & COD stopping this with WW2 & fully killed it with BO6(not including MWR seeing as it was digital to begin with, i saw it more like call of duty classic HD on the PSN store way back during the PS3 days). & don't even get f*cking started with halo infinite introducing offline bots then removing it on season 3 & no one saying a damn thing about it.
● TimeSplitters Trilogy. The GOAT of Offline bots. There's so much to gush about. Just buy it, play it, you won't regret it, you'll love it... unless you get offended by the female character's... curvy assets. 😅
*_Honorable mentions_*
● Nether realm studios. Starting with Injustice 1 & ending with Injustice 2. I'm not gonna add MK11 & especially M1K. There was some always online features in injustice 2 such as legendary Multiverse requiring internet & selling gear as well. But that's about it. If you're confused on MK11 watch smokeys beef video on MK11, he'll fill you in. For Mortal 1 Kombat... don't just don't.
● Tekken franchise. I would've put it on the top list but there's a title that ruined that streak. Starting from Tekken 2 onwards they've always had offline bot V.S. CPU mode. Where you picked your fighter & fight bots. You can't pick your opponent nor the stage however, but at least it ain't any of the capcom fighting game collection. As for the title that ruined that, it was tekken 7. Tekken 8 later fixed that. Thank God.
● Star wars battlefront games. Would've put it higher but EA ruined that with EA battlefront 1. Though they've added alot with EA battlefront 2, the damage is done. Not to mention ive got some issue that makes the camera drift or slip like soap when adjusting my sensitivity & no it's not my controller drifting nor dead zones. It's the game's controls. It pretty much wants you to play in 3rd person mode with default settings. Battlefront games i recommend are the pendemic & rebellion battlefront games. If you had to play EA battlefront games offline then obviously by default i recommend EA battlefront 2.
*_Other games_*
● Metroid Prime Hunters. I've had many great memories with this game. Taking prime 2's multiplayer & making it better. I main Sylux back in the days. I've wanted him in smash as a metroid representative but many youtubers called him a nobody but you can bet your bottom dollar i was hype to see him when i 100% prime 3. Now the same people are acting as if they always knew he was important. BTW shout out to The Orpheon for being a true Metroid youtuber. Ever since dread we've been getting alot of posers.
● Kirby Air ride. What can i say. Other than it's fun. Especially City Trail. That mode inspired smash run on smash bros 3DS & what makes it superior to WiiU.
● Custom Robo Revolution AKA Gamecube. Great game to play offline bots. You're gonna have to play the campaign to get new robos, part, stages, etc. However.
● Killer Instinct 2013. Not much else to say. Great fighting games. Great characters, stages, killer soundtrack from Mick Gordon, Cell dweller, & Atlas Plug, & No BS inputs like traditional fighting games. It's a little grindy though & you have to beat a boring mode on a cheap difficulty unlock a beautiful stage though.
● Rare Replay. Contains perfect dark XBLA. It has offline bots. Plus 3 goldeneye maps & 5 goldeneye weapons. Which is the closest you're gonna get to a offline bots goldeneye 64. Plus if you have a crackdown 2 save file you can play as the crackdown 2 agent in multiplayer, which is cool.
● Red faction 2. Don't get 1 it's pretty free for all. 2 however had TDM, better variety of weapons & stages.
● Quake 2 remastered. Same as red faction 2. Don't get 1, get 2 instead.
● Quake arena arcade. Has TDM. Lots of maps & character models to choose from. If you're a Quake or ID fan you won't regret it.

At this point I'm waiting for these Devs to try to release em on consoles & pass each respected console manufacturer's qualifications test for distribution & release. Time will tell my friend.

Just about every new game needs that, it is unfortunate, an idk exactly why, probably because they are trying to cut back on pirates & or cheaters, or maybe because the damn thing can't run without a ton of support from online stuff, of maybe because it has to add more content during live gameplay, like trying to keep the game more steady, or trying to download textures, maybe that was the only way they could keep the amount of storage needed below 200 gigs.

Even then this isn't counting ones that just need updates then work offline.

It was WWII that introduced mandatory updates, but the CONSOLE versions have worked offline AFTER updating.
WWII, Black Ops 4, MW2019, Cold War, MWII and MWIII on console WORK OFFLINE AFTER UPDATING.
I have OFFLINE footage on my channel for all of these.
In fact even as far back as Black Ops 2, the PC VERSIONS only campaign is actually truly offline, Black Ops 2 on PC dosen't actually have offline bots.
This is the first time the game including campaign for CONSOLE is ALWAYS ONLINE.
