Another thing I would mention here is that it is good and right for your child to be honest in their likes and dislikes-to keep communication open- but I always told my children it is about how they convey their likes and dislikes. It is all about respectful communication. I would tell them, “I understand, but tell me that respectfully.” It helped them to reshape their words and maybe attitude as well.
Our 7 yr old that was just struggling with this! We used it as a life lesson. We all have things we do not like doing, but it still needs to be done. We can work together and get through it together.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience and how you walked through this with your young child! As homeschooling parents we can be quick to jump to adjusting something (which sometimes needs to happen), but this is a great example of how sometimes it's just a case of not wanting to do something we don't like. As humans we can all relate to this! Thanks for joining us.
May God continue to bless this ministry ❤ What a blessing it is to us Mamas 🙏🏽
Thank you for sharing your kind words and feedback, so glad to hear that this channel has been a blessing to you.
