Brilliant spring fix! Harbor Freight here I come! Every one of these Chinese excavators has the same problems. Nuisances is all they are. Nothing major. But, for the money I spent, like you, I'll do a little punchout on mine to get it where it needs to be. Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Great solution.
@hanksullivan I would much rather have to fix throttle cables, tighten bolts, and make adjustments over replacing hydraulic pumps and valves. I also think little fixes is a part of the fun of having one. I have some videos I haven't uploaded yet but I was able to dig some big holes and this thing really does quite well for the cost!
Put the bolts back in that hold the canopy on. It makes it more rigid. If you look at it there is an internal frame in there that holds everything together........
Next thing to do is replace that plastic battery kill switch. That broke on me the first use. They are kinda fun to work on and if you think they arent worth the money well, My water main broke and I dug 50 feet at 4 foot depth in a couple hours. Im 56. I would have never been able to dig that by hand in one day. At 300 bucks an hour for a backhoe and operator I saved a ton.
Fun stuff. I just got my new FF-12 yesterday. Took the roll cage off also to get it in the garage. May not even put it back on. I need to order mods now. Should I use it for a few hours before I change oil or do it right away? My hydraulic oil is just touching the bottom of the gauge. Will I be ok to use like that for a few hours.
@Wally66-d4c I changed the engine oil immediately , ran it 5 hours and changed it again. I use oil with zinc in it, helps the cam shaft. I wouldn't touch the hydraulic oil until you've done your mods, then I'd change it. I've heard china's hydraulic oil sucks. I have 16 hours on mine and haven't changed it but I'm waiting to put cooler and filter on so I'll change the hydraulic oil then
@3dclock594 No, having it sit outside won't hurt anything, I'm overly cautious about storing things inside to try and keep them in good condition. The elements in the Midwest can destroy a machine. Thanks for watching!
@informa-ek8xn well I have neither but often see people using both to disperse heat. It's something I need to fix in the future. I don't run my machine for really long times, I give it time to cool down on its own but I will admit it gets really hot
thanks for your sharing, a good video.

Nice repair job.

@@skywatcherranchswr Thanks, I will do that.
Thanks for the great video! Learned a lot. Will it hurt to park it outside always? Not sure if the sunlight will damage those pipes or not

Blower fan put ext, isolation muffle ceramic wool and cooler hydraulic with expulse blower ext
Hi Friend, to avoid overheating of the hydraulic oil, do you think a fan or an oil radiator is better? Regards.

@@skywatcherranchswr These warm-ups are not good, they cause breakdowns.
