Hi, thanks. I haven't but I want to do a video on the SSL Bus they have released but no luck yet. I haven't got any outboard gear. Look at some of the SSL Six videos that is almost the same, you may find something in there. Cheers.
Thanks for your reply! No worries, I'm subscribed to your channel so ill definitely check in for the SSL bus +! and also since you got great content on the Big six!! Much thanks!
@@Drumbaseuk on my ssl usb control panel, it has a option for "safe mode" for the buffer settings. I am on windows, but I figured mac would have the same option as well. I dunno...
@@MonstarMk3 Got you. I guess it wouldn't hurt to use it if it's useful. It may just be something else to remember to change though. I guess whatever works for your setup.
Thanks for this! How can I have a separate DAW mix from the artist? Since my DAW comes out from 15/16, every time the artist wants more or less DAW return I need to turn down the main 15/16 gain knob, which obviously also affects my mix and the control room. Thanks!
Can't you adjust the headphones on the desk. I use the blue coloured ones in the headphone section to adjust the volume to headphones. If I haven't got that right is there anything you can do with bus B? Thanks, Alex
I mean specifically the return from the DAW. Let's say the artist wants more DAW return, I have to turn up the gain knob from 15/16, which in turn also raises volume in the control room. Can I have a headphone mix in Big Six where I can independently send the artist more or less DAW monitor? @@Drumbaseuk
@@LowCMusiq I'm sure there is a way but I can't think how at the mo. can you send a bus to 13/14? Alternatively there is a facebook group and they seem to know a lot. Maybe pose the question there. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
Great video. Very clear and helped me understand that monitor/cue section a lot. Thanks.
I really appreciate you explaining how to record the talkback input. Killer videos man
Really interesting and great video
awesome video! by any chance do you have a video showing how to connect and route outboard gear
ex: warm audio eq, comp as an insert to the Bigsix?

Your videos are so good! Do you use "Safe Mode" when recording? Or do you leave it off?
Hi thanks for your kind words. Not sure what you mean by safe mode?

@@Drumbaseuk appreciate it!
I don‘t get anything out of my headphones. Just got the Big Six. What do I have to select in my DAW in order to monitor my Master?
Check which input, 1 or 2 you have put your jack in then press down st cue 1 or 2 and turn up the knob in the headphone section. Should work.
11:00 lol
You can just mix in the box without all the hassle and expense!
Hi Ron, I did but found it not as enjoyable and I find I get much better results with the style of music I do. EDM music yes totally agree.
