Sailing holiday on the Broads, july 2013

I took my two twenty-something kids on a Norfolk Broads sailing holiday in the first hot British summer for several years. Wonderful times.....

Loved the sail by section. Always a problem, never get to film your own boat while you're sailing her.

This is a very enjoyable film. As a father myself and a sailor. What a lovely family you have. A family that sings together stays together. You are a very lucky man. I sail with my grandson on a Albin Vega in Charleston, South Carolina. I would love to sail the Broads in the UK. I must add to my bucket list. What is your boat? What year is she? She is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your sail and family with me.

Thank you, Manning, you're very welcome! The boat is a 'Wood' class - 'Wood Sorrel' (built 1933) - and is part of the Norfolk Heritage Trust fleet owned and operated by Hunter's Yard. www.huntersyard.co.uk/
The boats have no motors or batteries, so you have to know your tide tables and forecasts! That was what appealed to me.... a completely organic experience, and a taste of life in the 30s.
