Incredible how sophisticated those systems are, built for a few thousand planes. And then you look how terrible VW is with the software for their new mass market e-cars, sold in the millions.
Pilots and private jet owners only tolerate stuff that actually works. It is impossible to land a jet at visibility minimums without good instruments. (Minimums 400'/125m cloud base, blind until ten seconds to touch down).
Come on pilatus, the year is 2024. Drop the mouse/trackpad and use a touchscreen. This looks like a 2000 BWM/Audi. Love the plane the human interface is a missed opportunity with such great avionics.
@@DanielBieri I do on most flights. Bracing my hand on the edge of the PFD or the GTN allows for precise touch. Also the key functions (heading and alt) are physical knobs on the autopilot system anyway.
Best PC24 cockpit systems explanation video I have seen. Excellent!
First plane I've seen with a mouse. Very cool
What an awesome video!
I gotta gotta gotta get me one of these!🛩️
Good choice to limit touch screen usage. Better in turbulence and helmet fire situations.
The heck is helmet fire?
Now I have to start saving.

Should have stuck with garmin or Honeywell should have Made all the screens touchscreen. Going to suck with the cursor goes out or gets funky.

Have you ever tried to use a touchscreen in bumpy conditions? It's nearly impossible to accurately tap the button you want.
