I just flew a Phenom 300 from KPUB to KTEX and back just the other day, so this is an apples to apples performance comparison while its all fresh in my mind! What a cool aircraft the PC-24 is!
ery nice aircraft. I can see several air ambulance companies upgrading to this series of aircraft from the PC-12 in the near future (depending on need). I also like the feature of the flaps being designed to accommodate the safety of dirt and rocks not getting kicked up into the engines upon touching down onto a dirt runway.
My observation has been that industry professional pilots have no problem with Honeywell avionics. Meanwhile, amateur pilots and armchair experts continually bitch and moan because they're not Garmin for dummies.
@@typhoonjenkins8330 either you're having a wind-up, or I guess some people just have more money than sense to spend that much on a panel re-fit that also makes the airplane an orphan amongst the rest of the fleet. Either way, dumb.
Why don't Pilatus added Blended Winglets into PC-24.......is it going to be a marketing strategy to upgrade into the next version......PC-24EX probably.....
Speed isn't everything when the PC-24 can get you in and out of many more locations and with the kind of payload that a citation could only dream of. Ask the RFDS of Australia!
Landing with 90 knots and lower enables the pc24 to land even on small airfields, that's saving you an insane amount of time compared to a citation that actually needs a larger airport
@@dereklong4945 Phenom 300E max cruise is .80. At FL450 @ .80 Mach (459KTAS) it’s 4 hours 21 minutes to fly 2000 miles. At .73 Mach (419KTAS) it’s 4 hours 47 minutes. That’s 26 minutes difference at “max range” (NBAA rules). For me, the real questions to differentiate between the 24 and the Phenom are not performance related, it’s whether you can tolerate the 24 lav and whether you need the cargo door or pressurized baggage area.
By what metrics, exactly? You do realize that these are the same avionics that Gulfstream and Dassault use in their jets, right? The Honeywell setup may not be as pretty as the Garmin or Rockwell Collins offerings with their colorful displays, but it's still one of the most capable avionics packages out there.
@ they are not the same as what Dassualt or Gulfstream uses. The systems used in the PC-12 and the PC-24 are watered down variants with less functionality all the while having a higher cost of ownership than Collins and Garmin. The Honeywell platform is so great in the PC-12 you will see Pilatus soon announce they are kicking it to the curb for the big G!
@@dereklong4945 I fly a PC-12 and frankly the only feature I've missed from the G3000 in the Phenoms I've flown is the XM radio so I can listen to Margaritaville in cruise. Otherwise the Pilatus setup seems pretty fully-featured, so what functionality is it missing? I've also heard the rumors that they'll be switching to Garmin soon, probably the G3000 Prime in a few years' time. I'm not opposed to that, honestly.
Thank you for having a proper aviation journalist cover the new 500+ series. Excellent content as always from AIN.
Thank you for watching! We appreciate the compliment!

flew as pax or as pic or sic?
Thank you for sharing a beautiful aircraft.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Excellent video, Matt.
Not having hands on the controls on a single engine go around is a pretty bold choice.
He really sounds excited!!!.
Thank you enjoyed the video and content well done , awesome jet

Beautiful bird!

No hand on throttles during the whole take off roll?
Very good video .
Thank you very much, and we appreciate you watching!
4:25 can I get one with Garmin instead? I know Honeywell has been around forever, it shows.
howso? elaborate pls

I had Garmin put in my PC-24. Cost was 2.5 million.

Is there an oxygen mask requirement above FL 350 for at least one pilot?
Awesome aircraft ✈️
phenom step aside 😖🤣
1600 hrs in the PC24. All single pilot. There is no finer airplane.
what's your pay?
@. Really? What’s yours?
👏 👏
nice video. can you spare some change?

It has Pro line or Garmin avionics?
Thank you for watching, the PC-24 is equipped with the Advanced Cockpit Environment (ACE) powered by Honeywell’s Primus Epic 2.0 integrated avionics.
Great video. Amazing jet. It’s next on my list when they get reliability straighten out. Still an issue even after SN500.
what issue?
I'd like to know as well. what issues?
I wonder why they don’t use winglets
Because it is a straight wing not swept.
@ does that mean winglets wouldn’t benefit the airframe in terms of payload and lift?
@@steveb5224 I don't think this is the actual answer.
Pilatus evaluated more than 100,000 aerofoil designs. They determined that winglets weren't necessary.
@@steveb5224 partially true. There is wing sweep on the leading edge but the trailing edge is straight.
Unpaved landways, like, jungles??? 😅
HondaJet has been a huge disappointment so far sad but true😊😊
Honda Jet is significantly smaller and geared toward a different market.
how? do tell
.73…….. makes a citation look fast!
