    it is great video. i watched a few times before i started to do the same job on my sienna 2005. the music is so relaxing. i love it. there is only one concern: i did not see that breather was cleaned or replaced. but if the breather is not working, entire job would be ruined just in couple months. that is very important part of the job.

      Thank you for watching. I do appreciate your comment and your feed back. You’re absolutely correct about the breather, it was blown by compressed air off camera, I should’ve mentioned that.

    I have a 2012 Toyota Sienna Awd just bought last week my car has a noise when I drive the car and the tires start running
    Maybe differential bearing seal bushing or cv axle shaft ???

    Can I bypass the rear differential and pull rear drive shaft section and pull both half axles and drive the van?

    My rear differential support that is mounted to the undercarriage will move up and down approximately 8mm. Is this normal, or should the 2 rubber mounts have no play? Thanks James

    • @a2zautomasters862
      @a2zautomasters862  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should have a minimum amount of movement that prevent the vibration and noise from traveling to the body of the car and also absorbs any sudden moves. That’s normal as long as no tears in the rubber. Thank you for watching. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

    What fluid type do you fill it with? I can't seem to find any definitive answer. Also in the video I don't see you put any gasketon the cover but after it was put on, there seems to be some type of sealant showing. Is a gasket needed or helpful? Mine is a 2004 Sienna LE AWD. Thank you!

    • @a2zautomasters862
      @a2zautomasters862  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can use 75W90 gear fluid. That’s synthetic gear fluid. There’s no pre cut gasket for the cover, you can just use gasket maker / Silicone after you clean the surface very well. Thank you for watching and I do appreciate your question.

    GREAT VIDEO. I noticed you replaced the differential control arm, but did not change the mount where the differential bolts onto the van- though it looked like there was a ton of play in it. Is that much play normal? The local tire shop quoted me to replace both and mine looked like it has less play in those mounts than this van did. (2006 with 170k miles)

    • @a2zautomasters862
      @a2zautomasters862  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The whole arm to the front with the bushing was changed. The back mount @ the back of the differential was not changed, it wasn’t torn. Thank you for watching and I do appreciate your comment.

    Thanks for the video! My rear differential is in rough shape and needs to be replaced, but due to the cost, I'd like to just detach the rear driveshaft and front wheel it until I know the vehicle is reliable enough to warrant the repair. Is there any safety issues with that or any cover or plug I need if I did get the axle removed? I'm not sure if the back wheels would still be using the differential in some way and could still leave me stranded if it siezed up? Thanks for your time!!

    Hey there, great video will use this if my axle seals start leaking someday lol but other than that,
    I have a quick question, my 2010 sienna AWD has a whine only when pressing on the accelerator above 35 mph releasing it stops the noise. I was wondering if you ever heard of this whine on these siennas, Pinon bearing seems fine, seems to be coming from the middle of the car where the 2nd row seats are.
    Any help would be great

    And can you give ideals on how to change rear oil seal between fly wheel and transmission without dropping the engine please?, your reply is highly anticipated, thank you

    • @a2zautomasters862
      @a2zautomasters862  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      James Ogu yes absolutely. You will need to hang the engine up top with an engine brace so it wouldn’t come down crashing on you, VERY IMPORTANT. Remove the exhaust pipe, remove both axles, disconnect the rack from the subframe and lower the subframe complete with lower control arms. Tilt the engine and Tranny down by the driver side. Remove starter and all Bell housing bolts. Disconnect all wiring to transmission. Separate engine and transmission. Lower transmission down and remove flywheel. Change seal and everything back in reverse order.

    Before you cracked open the differential case, why wouldn’t you clean the whole assembly? Forgive me but that so half-ass in my book. Makes me sad when I see this level of work performed, and on video. One would think you would go a little further to create the illusion of caring?

    • @a2zautomasters862
      @a2zautomasters862  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your question. I honestly don’t see the point of cleaning something that’s going to get oily and dirty again while doing the job. I do clean the inside when I open it and I do clean the outside once I’m done with the job. That’s how I do it. Thank you for watching
