Thank you guys so much for picking my car! So many other amazing entries in this category and every one of the finalists had that cool factor. If you want to drive the Monte I'm just over the bridge in Detroit! We'll be working on it and racing it more on our youtube channel LMS Builds th-cam.com/channels/VePxgRGisbTqSb9N23X90w.html
@@speedacademydave Thanks. I have had other cars, including a 350z I used to enjoy, but I think this will be my forever car. I used to have an 84 Celica I planned an engine swap for, but it was stolen. I know you all had seen the build, but hopefully, others stumble across it as well as I continue the project on my channel. th-cam.com/users/cmsgt4 Here is also hoping Toyota starts making parts again so I don't have to keep going to junkyards or fabricating stuff. Cheers guys!
@@speedacademydave Luckily they are a fair price and somewhat easy to get in Canada. When I get time I plan on doing the GTfours buyers guide video. First I need to do a suspension, buyers guide since sadly most car enthusiasts are uninformed on the topic.
Awesome machines and congrats to the SS. From what I remember that Familia GTR was very limited in Japan. No wonder Nissan spit out the N14 Pulsar R so quickly haha
LOL sorry Mike, you can extract your revenge by shaming us against our 350Z later this summer. We're going to do a little refresh on it for more of a grip/time attack setup.
That's the Canadian (and most other English speaking countries) pronunciation. The American pronunciation is actually unique. There's an interesting history there, where the Toyota dealers in the USA used a different pronunciation than the rest of the world in their TV ads and marketing campaign. The Japanese pronunciation kind of falls somewhere in between the two English versions to my ear.

Cool car! You'd have been my pick as well.
That's awesome, thanks Travis! Saw your e-mail too, will shoot you a reply shortly 👍
That Lincoln Mark VIII build has peaked my interest :D Going to enjoying seeing what you guys do with that.
Thank you for the kind words! When the Datsun is done I’ll bring it up to TMP and let DP have a rip!
Would love that, thanks!
Awesome car man, great video work too!
I remember the Datsun from high school always loved them.
Haha, we had a lot of similar cars in our categories! I was nervous we would both pick the same car. That was fun 😊
Have you posted your video yet, Sarah? Looking forward to seeing which car you picked!
@@speedacademydave it’s up now 😬
Congratulations to the winner! Thanks for your time making this car show a good time!
At least my thumbnail made it into the video
Congrats to the winner! I also appreciate you guys liking my car.
Your car is super clean man. I love it.
Awesome car! I'm a huge Celica nerd so it was really fun getting to take a closer look at such a nice All-Trac.

@@cmsgt4 subscribed! Looking forward to checking out what you've posted about your Celica. An ST205 GT4 is very high on my want list these days!

Good job Monty.
I'm in awe of the work you put into making a completely custom car. So cool!

Hahaha. Brutal.

Haha it’s all good. I was just kidding around. I saw it on one of the page stories a while ago and decided to throw my car in for fun.

Same here. It was always “sell ick ah” to me.
