After 18 years of marriage, I can’t believe I’ve never thought of the “I gave birth to our 3 children” argument. How could I have never thought of that. Totally using it now.

Right?? I only use it to psych myself into thinking I'm a badass, like "You gave birth to twins with a faulty epidural! You can do this!!!"

In our house, its a simple "I had the babies". Short and to the point.

I'm surprised, that being a typical woman, that you've never used that whiny argument. 18 years is a long time to have carried your kids. You need to either zip it and get over it. Or, your husband may show you, the hard way, how to get over it.

I had to take a very stressful 3 week trip down to see my parents, and there are 4 shows my husband and I watch every week together. I checked a few times to see if he'd watched them, and one night I thought I'd caught him cheating! I called him on it during our nightly phone call, and he said "Look again, babe" and I saw that I'd been mistaken. So glad I have a man who waits for me

That sounds like it could ruin both your lives and have massively negative ramifications. Forgive. Lay it at the foot of the cross and ask Jesus to handle for you what you can’t handle letting go of on your own. I’m not trying to be offensive, I’m seriously concerned, I’ve seen that exact scenario cause massive harm to both the person who couldn’t forgive and the person who wasn’t being forgiven and all the people that that got hit by the emotional shrapnel of the whole repeated an obvious unforgiveness between the two.

I come from a family where it’s totally normal to tell people off for doing something in a dream, to which they will apologize. It’s a whole thing. Sometimes it takes you a while to figure out, that you didn’t actually do something. To us, because we are so used to it, it’s just funny, because usually it’s so ridiculous it couldn’t possibly be true.

I had a warning dream that a woman was after my husband, so warned him to stay away from her. He says that falls under the category of “she’s mad at me because she dreamed I cheated.” I say it’s not the same. And she WAS after him, BTW.

0:52 Here is a helpful tip for all the married people out there. When your spouse asks you to do something, only say yes if you are able and willing to do it immediately.
I am not kidding. When your spouse asks you to switch the laundry, unload the dishwasher, mow the lawn, take out the trash, etc. you have ten seconds to get up and begin doing it.

The worst is when roommates pick a fight over some issue of order, like a dish that isn't washed or books that are left on the table.
In today's world people have outrageous amounts of material items where they live and almost none of which have an agreed place of setting or system.
Just ridiculous that the person who has a house full of junk gets angry when the roommate leaves a pencil on the table.

Yes! The hamper skit. I have even moved the hamper where he throws his clothes on the floor. What does he do? Throws them on the floor where the hamper WAS to start with

I can inform you that not every couple fights. My man and I when we are talking. And we realize that it is coming close to being a fight. We both back off and go think. Not only of how we could have said it differently. But we also try to see the other person's point of view.
I STILL remember hearing about how the preschool our girl went to. They had the kids act out their parents fighting. When it came to our girl. She just stood there and said, "My mommy and daddy don't fight." This was a three year old girl. No reason to lie about such things.
Part of not fighting. We realize that any fights we may have. That they may end up as ammo for future fights.

@@holdernessfamilylaughs it especially makes sense me laugh because I'm a continent away in Ireland, lesbian - I live with my partner but not getting married or having kids yet despite surface differences the similarities, down to the wording, crack me up 🤣. From 'it's been a minute will I just do it' and mental health needing space with a completely cluttered beauty counter, we've had that exact conversation 😂😍.

OMG this is all true and the 'where would I find time to cheat' answer is definitely the wrong one! 😂 We immediately respond with 'So what you're saying is that if you DID HAVE TIME YOU WOULD!?' 😂

Omg this is hilariously relatable!!! I literally had a dream about my husband cheating on me the other day and his response was exactly the same as your husband’s 😂 We also have the “who’s more tired” argument on a daily basis 😂 I try to use the childbirth and breastfeeding for years/sleepless nights argument … but doesn’t seem to affect him 😂

Same. I can't win because my husband has sleep apnea, structural daytime breathing obstructions, and narcolepsy. Dang it.

My husband sometimes admits I'm more overworked than he is, but I don't get to do any less chores. 😂
