I Just bought these for my 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis Gs and the Low Beam shine Better than the High Beam

Did it work better after folding shield down? Just bought these and trying to decide if I’m installing or returning
Those shields are to cut down the glare to oncoming drivers.
These LEDs are not a direct beam of light like the bulbs
