Hey girl! Your Instagram post the other day prompted me to see if you had made any updates lately. Glad I did. I'm sorry you have had such a rough year! I think it's great that you are such an awesome support for your friend! This life with a lap band is challenging and I honestly think it gets harder and harder the longer you are out from surgery. In the beginning there is so much excitement and anticipation and naivity. The lap band honeymoon stage wears off and then the real battle begins. I'm glad you are reaching out for support. There is so much fire inside of you that I know you will have success again. And let me just say from experience...it is so worth getting healthy and in shape for pregnancy and motherhood! I am so glad I had my band during pregnancy!
I am so glad to see your face! I literally was thinking of you yesterday afternoon and was going to reach out for a check in. You are such a beautiful, genuine person. I am so glad your friend survived. Great video!
I too struggled with the idea of "failure" of the lapband. I focused too much on what other people would think of me instead of just dealing with my own emotions. I had a complete unfill on my honeymoon because my band was too tight and I couldn't keep even a sip of water down - over 16 hours in the ER on my honeymoon - no fun! From there I let myself spiral out of control with depression. I found myself to a point that I just gave up giving a damn. Wasn't eating correctly, wasn't working out, and avoided seeing my lapband doctor. I knew I had to get to the point that I wanted it for myself and now that I'm back in the game - the mental part of this journey is slowly becoming easier and everything is falling back into place. I have a quote that I look at every day that really helped me wrap my head around the "failure" part. "Failure isn't falling down, it's remaining where you've fallen!"
I enjoy watching your videos you are an inspiration to me. I too have the band and I am currently struggling with similar issues and it's refreshing to know that I'm not alone
So good to see YOU Shelly!! This video just made my night!! I truly adore you and have always appreciated your honesty and realness! You will probably never know how much this video and hopefully more videos to come will help others. I am always going to be on the sidelines cheering for you! I know you can do this because we have seen you do it before! Make Yourself a Priority and fight to be the best you =) Don't be stopped!! Heart ya much!!
I just came on here to post my own every long overdo video. It's nice to see you on here. I really enjoy watching your videos. You are very very honest, and very self aware and self reflecting, which I appreciate. Hope you make more videos regularly in the future. I will be looking for them
Meds often cause tummy issues as well. Wellbutrin causes "issues" itself and I hope you can get free of all the rage.that "it" can create. I am over 210 pounds but I'm less crazy off my crazy meds. Wellbutrin changes paradigm for a long time even when you stop taking it. Take care of YOU; soul and all... Less drama without a room mate will create a better nest for your little one to come into your lives as well. I am free of drama and WHAT a difference it makes! You are a lovely person that deserves peace. Forgive yourself, pray again, and move forward...for yourself. Be well rounded; you know what that is🙂
i have missed seeing you. You are an inspiration to many people including me. I think as a whole we are all struggling right now. More and more are making videos like yours including me. you are not alone and im here anytime you need a friend. :)
