Con: It is harder for you to miss work due to medically attested injuries

A dude just smashed my foot trying to pass my guard to the point I can barely walk. I wish this video came out earlier.

Pros: Not having slip disk at 28 if you start at 18.

It’s best to quit Jiu jitsu especially if a student wants to focus on their academic advancements. The time spending on studying, working to pay the bills and training in any martial art doesn’t add up well. Plus I’m order for you body to heal from all the years of training and pretty much getting nowhere along with the humiliation it’s for the best to quit as far as mental and physical health goes. There is more to life and also more productive sports to participate in rather than wasting your time in a sport that is pretty much going to merge into western and Greco Roman wrestling in general. Focus on your studies and a great world of opportunities will open up.

As a young Retiree, I was open and eager in learning BJJ. First class was welcoming and engaging. But my second class, the vibe, entitlement of members not wanting to roll with me, just turned me off. I was able to submit one member by using Aikido Ki technique (Relaxed my mind in not providing any resistance), I was managed to reposition my self to a submission. I have returned back to Olympic Weight Lifting for strength training and Muay Thai Fighting for cardio.

@@juanortiz8752 Like ya said the sport of bjj is great but the environment of people that ya gotta train with can be rather toxic. There are non competitive gyms of bjj that are all about learning and not competitiveness. To learn the sport of bjj as a way to advance your discipline and academic study is a god given blessing but as a humble grappler ya always gonna come across that one practitioner whom is just a straight jacka**.
