@@craighughes-shug6694 Yeah, that's for sure, this Joyo Preamp House takes pedals really good in both channels. Recently I bought a Nux Amp Academy hoping to get even better results due to its flexibility with the IR loader but it sounded like trash with pedals in front, I'm trying to sell it 😅
I have one, and it does work really well regardless of your style! Personally I like this better than, for instance, a Helix Stomp, as I prefer a hybrid approach: running my lovely old pedals with the 4 cable method through the Preamp House straight into my audio interface. Works great for recording, and the cab sim (4x12") is certainly acceptable, especially if you EQ it a bit further to suit your needs... 👍
Thanks for posting a review on this pedal. I’m curious to see how it would do in an ampless set up with an IR pedal. Seems like it has a lot of potential.
Thanks for the review. Let's hear the tones without the cab on first please. Eg like a clean or drive pedal. Its a pity it doesn't allow the clean channel to run into the dirty channel for more options too. Cheers
I use one with joyo cab box for headphone playing. The cab box let's you select power valves and use your own IRs. Sounds much better than on its own. Is it close to the amps it emulates? Dunno. But they sound good enough to me.
I bought one and while i never really use it through a cab to replace any of my tube amps (or solid state)... It does sit on my end table in my living room as it is amazing as a headphone practice amp...
Ok might be my head phones but all of the amp sims sounded fantastic both clear or dirty however all of them sounded the same and have to say was a little bit disappointed with the lack of difference between the sims. But can’t get away from the fact that every setting and every sim sounded great.
Olá, onde coloco o Preamp House na cadeia de sinais, se eu fizer a ligação normal dele, sem que use o send/return? No meio, no final da cadeia, me dá uma luz mano, haha, abraço tmj 🙏🏻
Your channels great just discovered it and subbed, do you think this is a viable recording option straight into a mixer like yous are doing, my mixer has a multitrack recorder built in, maybe some pedals in front and some in the loop
Always important to consider the price point and the purpose (in this case, recording or headphone amp). For the price, it sounds quite good. I was surprised, I assumed it would be a mess but it’s not. Not amazing, but good for the price. Does it sound like the amps it’s modeling? Not really. Could it be useful for recording on a budget? I think so. I kind of wish y’all had done cleans or edge of breakup, with an overdrive pedal.
needs a presence knob, can't get a good hi freq top sparkle out of any of the sims. I could put an eq pedal in the loop I suppose, but that would add too much noise.
Hi guys, love the channel, could you please do a video with this unit with the tc plethora. Or a mooer preamp live with a plethora. That would be very helpful and interesting. Cheers Dave 👍
I don't need nine amps in a pedal. I especially don't need nine "almost" -"sort-of" accurate models of amps in any pedal. What I do need and want is one, maybe two amps or two versions of one amp in a pedal that absolutely nails the amp(s) that is(are) modeled. Hmm, I wonder where I can find such a fine thing?
So, the consensus is that nobody knows how to properly operate this pedal. As you showed in this video too that you cant just change a preamp and it loads...see that flashing light? there is a trick to working this thing....took me all night to figure it out....otherwise all the preamps will kinda all sound the same no matter what as you obviously found out...lol. (seriously).
This thing sounds so much better than most direct boxes. What a great cheap option for a line into a desk 👍🏼
At its price, it's just a gift! I think the right guy, at a time, was in a "full immersion" 😂😂😂 great video, rock on 💪🏼
This pedal is a sleeper! I've got one and it really shines when you put an EQ pedal in the FX loop. Also, it takes OD pedals in front like a champion.
I will try the EQ in the loop…thank you!!
Have you ever tried recording with this straight in to a mixer with some pedals in front, wondering if thats a viable option
@@craighughes-shug6694 No, I have not. I'm not much into recording tbh, but given the features of this pedal it is indeed a viable option, I reckon.
@@jhonfelo no problem man, so you said it takes od pedals well, thats great to hear,

Very cool unit especially at that price point.
Nice little box. And not expensive. 🤘🙃

I hope so. I just ordered one.
Do you run your pedals infront or through the effects loop?
Thanks for posting a review on this pedal. I’m curious to see how it would do in an ampless set up with an IR pedal. Seems like it has a lot of potential.
Would work great. Joyo make a cab sim/IR loader pedal that complements this one
I use it straight to the PA. Sounds great
When u go to OD can u DIAL in EQ n SAVE that EQ setting ON OD channel? Thx! Yaweh Rockzz!
Really versatile and priced well. Excellent demo, as always
Thank you Randy!!
Great review.
Thank you!!

how does it takes overdrives/distortion with the pedal headphones no xlr interface
First? FIRST!!! 😂 i always wanted to ser that pedal in use👍🏼
Nice great sounds and cheap!🙂🎸👍

Hey do you feel this pedal is good Alternative to other panels like this?
Yeah…at that price point I think it’s pretty good.
Ok might be my head phones but all of the amp sims sounded fantastic both clear or dirty however all of them sounded the same and have to say was a little bit disappointed with the lack of difference between the sims. But can’t get away from the fact that every setting and every sim sounded great.
Yeah there isn’t a huge variety in sounds! I think it may shine even more with an external cab sim loader! I will have to try that

So... is it digital, or analog? (I know Alex say it's digital in 1:00, but can someone confirm?)
Totally has to be digital. If it were an analog ‘cab sim’ they’d be calling that out.

Sounds great, but i miss JCM800/Plexi. JCM900 is not preferable option for most Marshall lovers...
Have you guys tried out the Flamma preamp pedal? If so which do you prefer?
No we haven’t yet…hopefully we will get to try it out sometime!!
I own the flamma preamp too. I just got my joyo so Im still checking this out but Im not super crazy about the flamma one yet either...
needs a presence knob, can't get a good hi freq top sparkle out of any of the sims. I could put an eq pedal in the loop I suppose, but that would add too much noise.
the worse aspect of this pedal is that the drive preamps are all much quieter than the cleans...alot of tweaking is needed....
Hi guys, love the channel, could you please do a video with this unit with the tc plethora.
Or a mooer preamp live with a plethora.
That would be very helpful and interesting.
Cheers Dave 👍
ya im running my Plethora X5 into it....sounds amazing now....
plus im using a seperate cab simulator box....big difference now.
It doesn’t sound terrible but it sounds nothing like the amps it emulates
good
*WHERE IS THE MIDI??!!! THEY DROPPED THE BALL - AGAIN*
I think at that price point midi would have been a bit of a stretch

🤷🏻♂️
At that price point good luck. I’d recommend looking for a SansAmp.
Kill the Cabs and IRs, run it into a power amp or return and use a real cabinet.
The dirt channels all sound the same. The or has mids cranked
