Really like the preamp house could really see how well this would work both for practicing at home but also getting some great tones on a larger setting. Also love the simplicity of a clean and dirty channel per amp sim rather then just an various amount of presets.
Yeah you have the 9 amps and each amp has a clean and dirty channel - and you can save any of the clean amps to be preset A and any of the dirty amps to be preset B
Brutus likes those black and gold boxes! I think the pedals would sound better with tubes in the chain somehow. Didn't Atomic amps make (perhaps still does) a tube power amp cab? I bet that would warm things up nicely, for instance.
Man, I want to play with this stuff so badly but- first I have to buy the gear that goes with it and makes it work- a cab, some FRFR speakers, something like that- some way to hear it. Right now, all I have is some headphones- they are good headphones though- Sennheiser studio grade- they have a model number, but I forgot it many moons ago. This morning the girl at the pharmacy asked me how old I was- I honestly couldn't remember. I knew I was either 49 or 50 but- had to literally do the math to figure out which. So- I decided today, no more birthdays- I'm staying 50. "So scared of getting older, only good at being young- so I play the number game and find a way to say, life has just begun." - I don't know if John wrote these words or not, but I certainly get what they mean.
There aren't many preamp pedals priced like this. I have to decide on whether the Iridium is worth the full whack to be always happy with the fatness of tone being incompromised.
Which amp is the “B” factory preset on the Preamp House? It’s glorious! I might buy the damn thing for that sound alone. I like the ability to assign the cab sim to specific outputs. Clever
Preamp House looks promising but it IS pricey (for me at least!)… ‘have to say there’s a big move away, it seems, from digital modelling such as KEMPER etc, these days, folks seem to be going back to more “sans amp“ territory/technology
I always liked the SansAmp stuff. I had one of their first FlyRigs as a 'backup' for when the backline amps were crap - which happened often...so I used to use it a LOT and it always sounded really good to me
The Preamp House is somewhere in between - it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a Kemper, like hundreds of effects and IR's, but it definitely has a better cab sim than I've ever heard from a SansAmp, and a really useful choice of amp models too... I'm using one to record at home, and it does work really well!
I recently got the joyo pre-amp house but I'm having a lot of trouble with the cab sim sounding ridiculously dark, like unusablely bassy and muffled no matter what I do with the EQ. I'm running it at the end of my board into a scarlett 2i2 -> pesonus E3.5 studio monitors. If I turn the cab sim off then the guitar is present sounding and not muffled (but obviously unnaturally fizzy without any cab simulation). Any ideas what could be the reason? A conflict between the cab simulation and the studio monitors? I've no idea where to start to troubleshoot this.
I got this pedal too and the way i brighten it up is by adding a separate cab sim pedal at the end of the chain, i'm using the sonicake ir: th-cam.com/video/mi4n9HGzTI4/w-d-xo.html to pair with joyo and sounds amazing.
Played through bantamp for about 2 years great value amps… l agree with others below the Preamp house is the winner!🙂👍

Preamp house is awesome.
I think for each amp A is the clean channel, B is the dirt channel- and the gain on A is for light breakup tones? Maybe?

I love this channel, I lost it at “orange flavored amp”!

Joyo stuff very nice

Haha...yeah that happens...I'm not too far behind you...but in the end its just a number!!
How does the Joyo Atmosphere sound on an acoustic guitar? Can it be compared to Strymon in quality of sound?

Bogner maybe? An Uberschall probably.
I think it sounds like the FM BE100 model...which is the Friedman BE 100... it's a really good sound!
@@TSFAHTPS oh yes, i fogot the BE! 😋
So is Preamp House digital or analog (or hybrid, eg using analog for the most part except using digital IR)?
