  • Now that they’re both finally here, how will you choose? Will it be the Hyundai Palisade or its equally fresh corporate cousin the all-new 2020 Kia Telluride? Bigger than the departed Borego and their current best-selling Sorento, the Telluride is the largest Kia ever with seating for up to 8.

I’m extremely proud of Hyundai Kia! In this age where manufacturers charge per breath, they took an unheard of step by providing luxury features at an affordable price. Hyundai/Kia have both upset a lot of competition with their SUVS but good on them!

Prior to this, VW's Atlas in top trim was the top pick, but H/K definitely leapfrogged VW here. That interior.... just, wow. Looking forward to seeing it used in the new Kia Optima next year.

The VW Atlas, was not the top pick, for starters it was mostly either the Pilot or Highlander. The Atlas was never first. Also the VW Atlas has poor quality and terrible materials! So idk where you are getting your info from, but it is wrong.

Let's get one thing straight. The Telluride is not "built" in Georgia, it's assembled in Georgia. No foreign vehicle is built here. All the product planning, the design, the engineering, and other high-paying jobs are overseas whereas domestic brands have the best jobs here in the U.S.A.

Kia is more of mankind's future based heavily on robotics.
Hyundai seems to be going for extra terrestrial technologies and alien looks.

Kia Telluride was my first choice. My wife and I had planned to buy one.....BUT! Where I lived, and I live in a very large metropolis area, the closets Kia dealership was close to a one hour dive from my home. Now as much as I wanted to buy a Telluride, I wasn't going to drive two hours round trip to get my vehicle serviced even while under warranty....TWO FREAKING HOURS! So we opted for a Ford Escape SEL, and even though it doesn't have the amount of extras, it was cheaper, and works out just fine. KIA you are loosing customers in some areas because you don't have enough dealerships. Your loss Kia!

It looks like Range Rover in front , Lincoln from the side, and Cadillac or Volvo in the back. Kia hired away engineers from Audi and Mercedes to develop Telluride . As Kias luxury flagship it goes through much stricter quality controls more than any other Kia No wonder Telluride is called the Korean Mercedes.

winter gas, cold temps and who know how other auto journalists treated the mule from day, one could explain the lower than published milage...or KIA's formula/testing procedure is off...considering either an LX or S unless an EX is heavily discounted. Only downside is the horrible color pallet. The black copper, like your tester, and the dark moss are the only two colors worth owning, but aren't available on every model which will narrow the trim choice for us in a hurry. Telluride, CX-9 and Atlas are on the "next lest" to replace our decent '16 CX-5

Yeah. I've noticed a disturbing trend where I'm not hitting EPA numbers a good portion of the time. Winter is definitely a factor.

Wish the heat would die down so dealers would stop over charging on these. The heat has died on the Palisade.

Kia Telluride shows... headlights, front grille🤔 🤮😕. Good that the headlights are in the corners, but should have been wider!.
    Tail lights...👍🏼👌🏼looks good!.

It’s a compelling product, but I just can’t imagine myself ever saying I drive a Kia. The name Kia just has a unpleasant low budget ring to it.

Hyundai & Kia have come a long way, but their cars are still not *quite* as fully refined and baked as the Japanese competition. It is like a nut that's 7/8th tightened, but it is still missing that last 10-15% of refinement that keeps the cars from feeling like a wholesome package.
For someone whose just leasing or doesn't keep their cars for more than 5 years, I can see why one would take a car like this. But look at a 2011-2012 Honda Accord versus a Hyundai Sonata of the same vintage (that's the Sonata the auto press hyped up), and those Sonata's haven't aged well at all. I expect 8-10 years from now, these SUV's won't be as desirable as their Honda/Toyota Rivals.

Nutritional Chemistry I wouldn’t say that, as of late their resale value has been increasing and with the way Honda reliability has gone down hill...I would take a Hyundai or Kia any day over them. In addition, Toyota just had 2 big recalls for fuel pumps and airbags along with their problems with the 8 speed transmission so idk anymore about them

Low resale, questionable reliability, interior coming apart in a couple of years and more. Avoid like the plague.
