On March 4th I had a nuc from last year that was about to swarm. I made 2 more splits using the swarm cells, and this is one of the nucs we are inspecting.
I'm in SW Virginia (zone 6b) and just started rearing queens. The roller coaster weather from summer to winter is about over. Yesterday dropped ripe cells into small splits; not wanting to disturb the virgin queens. Building an apairy from scratch, its a work in progress.
North Idaho, we are still waiting for spring, most plants are just starting to bud and we should have flowers soon. Bees are active on the warmer days and finding pollen somewhere, there is good entrance activity
