You might know this trick ! But if you don’t ...... at the very top of your cabinets all the way up ☝️☝️☝️☝️line it with plastic cling or what ever you wish ! You won’t see it BUT all the dust bunnies and the little grease thingies that collect up there over time ! Line it with something ! Then when you deep spring clean just toss old and reline ! Always clean ! I’ve even plastic wrapped some large platers I store up there and for looks you can’t tell they are wrapped ! Just a fun TIP !!! Xoxox Deb in California!

Its a lovely kitchen, love the window and the white cabinets. I personally would have picked a darker counter top but yours goes so well with the cabinets. A fresh new look . Its beautiful and I know you will love it. Happy cooking.
For under cabinet lighting I use little push lights. I got mine at IKEA, they add a little light more for ambient light in place of night lights as opposed to functional lighting when cooking/prepping. But they’re not very visible and don’t intrude on any space 👍🏼

I love it, but I would have very bright colored accessories because I love color. I doubt that I would go with the grey, but the cabinet color, quartz counter top, and floor are terrific. And that sink and window shelves!!!
Love it! We love our learning tower in the kitchen. Our boys are on it every day and helping with anything they can. So much safer than standing on a chair lol. The under cabinet lighting, you will not regret it. Best upgrade we ever made in our kitchen. And you can get rolls of led tape so you don't have to have the lip under your cabinets. It changes everything and makes it so much easier to get things from the kitchen with sleeping babies in your arms. As always, your updates are so classy! Thanks for sharing!

I know you say you don't change anything, but it is so fun! I watch other vlogmas videos and they don't change stuff either but a whole year has gone by and we forget! and it's just festive! lol
It's not that I didn't change anything this year...things are definitely different with the new living room space. I just didn't put out much at all so I'm afraid it would be a very depressing tour, lol. I think next year will be much more exciting (when I'm not so pregnant lol)

Angela Tomlin I have cream tile and almost black cabinets. I think it looks nicer too. She did a great job. Obviously mine is opposite. But I think if your cabinets are dark your floor should be lighter and if the cabinets are light the floors should be dark.

I love the new kitchen! I think the darker floors were a great choice! The cabinets look beautiful, I love how you just changed the colors of the cabinets and kept the original ones. Saves a lot of money. I always like the style of your original cabinets. Love the hardware choices, very pretty. I also love the farmhouse sink, gorgeous with that new lovely window to put some greenery in. Your back splash is very nice, love the subway tile and the color really goes nicely with the white cabinets and that beautiful quartz counter top. Surprisingly, I'm moving more towards a modern look in my home as well - I never, ever thought I would. Maybe modern is starting to look less modern (cold, harsh). Love the new kitchen look. I don’t blame you for leaving town during the process. Especially with a toddler. We completely gutted our kitchen last year, and our kids are pretty much adults and it was insane not having a kitchen for 3 month. Thank goodness it was August - early November so bbq was a saving grace for many of our meals.

We just redid our kitchen. We have very similar tastes. We added under cabinet lights after the fact. We got ours on Amazon : Motion sensor light cabinet lights, rechargeable, 10 LED, 2 pack. They magnetize under the cabinet. They are very streamlined, low profile. We bought the warm white. They are awesome! You can turn them on or off, or set to motion sensor. Very affordable too, and I love that they don't use batteries. I just recharge with my USB. You may not even need to add the edge under your cabinets to hide them. Your kitchen turned out great.
I love, Love, LOVE what you did to your kitchen! White is so clean, crisp and calm... and you can accessorize with any color or tone that suits your mood or season! I'm with you 100% on wanting to know where the dirt is, so I can get rid of it. I don't want dirt "hiding" in my house, and most definitely not in the kitchen where cleanliness is so important. Quartz countertops is my personal choice, for the look and the maintenance... but just be careful with acidic foods. If you accidentally squirt lemon juice everywhere, just clean it up quickly so it doesn't leave a dull spot. Wonderful job! Looks great!
Your kitchen is beautiful. I have a white cabinet kitchen and I love spending time baking and cooking. I have to say that the kitchen tower is a wonderful piece. I wish that was around when my kids were little.
I think we have the same backsplash! We just bought a house (for the first time!) and it was a flip. I didn’t even notice the crackle finish until he pointed it out but I love it. I have so many cabinets now that I have to figure out how to organize
Looks great! What's funny, we met with a contractor recently to redo our 90's kitchen very similar to the scheme you have. The counters are probably EXACTLY what we're going to use. We've fell in love with white quartz w/ large veining for years. :)
Your kitchen looks very nice. You a breath of fresh to keep and repurpose your nice things. You'll decorate more as your kids grow. I'm an emptynester now and I miss the child excitement and anticipation of the holidays and going all out. My daughter does request all out at Christmas because she says that's the way it always was & it's warm and cozy that way.

I am almost done with mine my cabinets are being painted white after the holidays then I'm getting the same Quartz counter tops etc. I've had my dark floors for 3 years and I love them. I am as well a neat freak and I also had my home painted that same gray collar last year. It makes it look bigger. I'm having a hard time picking out my farm house sink lol.... I did notice friend you took down the three shelves you use to keep tea cups on I think it was a total of six. It just looks amazing I love the back splash as well and the lighting! You go mama!
I just built a house an have the same backsplash, I also went with white cabinets, quartz countertops, early American wood floor and farm sink....looks great. Yes the floors shows more but I too like knowing where the dirt is😊❤️ BTW you look radiant!

Looks great Jen...light and airy. I totally get you about the former dark counter tops. I moved into a new home back in April and the current countertops are almost black. I can't tell if there is a smudge or crumb until I feel it. Drives me crazy! I'm wanting a marble like finish so I'm thinking Quartz may be the answer for me as well. Thanks for the inspiration.

What a difference this looks beautiful. The other one was nice. But this one really brings a more modern up today look. I also like the idea of being able to see what's going on with white countertops. When it comes to where you eat your food I never understood why people wouldn't want to know what's clean and what's dirty so that they can clean it up. I guess the sales people at the granite conventions really sold us a big one. So many people went with granite countertops. And they're finding now that they're not as user-friendly and functional for the everyday family kitchen.

My favorite part of Kitchen 2.0 was the glass shelves at the window. Makes spending time at the kitchen sink a bit more pleasant!

I love, Love, LOVE what you did to your kitchen! White is so clean, crisp and calm... and you can accessorize with any color or tone that suits your mood or season! I'm with you 100% on wanting to know where the dirt is, so I can get rid of it. I don't want dirt "hiding" in my house, and most definitely not in the kitchen where cleanliness is so important. Quartz countertops is my personal choice, for the look and the maintenance... but just be careful with acidic foods. If you accidentally squirt lemon juice everywhere, just clean it up quickly so it doesn't leave a dull spot. Wonderful job! Looks great!
Your kitchen is beautiful. I have a white cabinet kitchen and I love spending time baking and cooking. I have to say that the kitchen tower is a wonderful piece. I wish that was around when my kids were little.
I like the glass window shelves with a few plants the most :)
I think we have the same backsplash! We just bought a house (for the first time!) and it was a flip. I didn’t even notice the crackle finish until he pointed it out but I love it. I have so many cabinets now that I have to figure out how to organize

Looks great! What's funny, we met with a contractor recently to redo our 90's kitchen very similar to the scheme you have. The counters are probably EXACTLY what we're going to use. We've fell in love with white quartz w/ large veining for years. :)
Your kitchen looks very nice. You a breath of fresh to keep and repurpose your nice things. You'll decorate more as your kids grow. I'm an emptynester now and I miss the child excitement and anticipation of the holidays and going all out. My daughter does request all out at Christmas because she says that's the way it always was & it's warm and cozy that way.

LOVE, love , love it! I am almost done with mine my cabinets are being painted white after the holidays then I'm getting the same Quartz counter tops etc. I've had my dark floors for 3 years and I love them. I am as well a neat freak and I also had my home painted that same gray collar last year. It makes it look bigger. I'm having a hard time picking out my farm house sink lol.... I did notice friend you took down the three shelves you use to keep tea cups on I think it was a total of six. It just looks amazing I love the back splash as well and the lighting! You go mama!

I just built a house an have the same backsplash, I also went with white cabinets, quartz countertops, early American wood floor and farm sink....looks great. Yes the floors shows more but I too like knowing where the dirt is😊❤️ BTW you look radiant!
Beautiful kitchen! When getting your cabinets painted, what type of contractor do you look for? I have been hesitant about doing this but this is the second kitchen that I've seen in the past few weeks where the cabinets were painted and I love it. Second, how do you go about finding a decorator? Where do you look for one?

Looks great Jen...light and airy. I totally get you about the former dark counter tops. I moved into a new home back in April and the current countertops are almost black. I can't tell if there is a smudge or crumb until I feel it. Drives me crazy! I'm wanting a marble like finish so I'm thinking Quartz may be the answer for me as well. Thanks for the inspiration.

This looks amazing! Not gonna lie, I wasn’t a fan of your old backsplash, but oh my dogs is this a gorgeous kitchen, I hope you’re enjoying it!
What a difference this looks beautiful. The other one was nice. But this one really brings a more modern up today look. I also like the idea of being able to see what's going on with white countertops. When it comes to where you eat your food I never understood why people wouldn't want to know what's clean and what's dirty so that they can clean it up. I guess the sales people at the granite conventions really sold us a big one. So many people went with granite countertops. And they're finding now that they're not as user-friendly and functional for the everyday family kitchen.
