    My Grandfather was lead rider Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery, I cannot say what he would have done with these idiots, but his horse came first. No one ever touched his horse without express permission from him. These are gun carriage horses not robots. Please treat them and their riders with the respect they all deserve.

    When the soldier in field dress uniform attempted to get the crowds to fall back behind the second white line for the changing of the horse guards, for their own safety by the way, nobody listened to her. Was it just because was a woman? Not until armed police started shouting at them did they move and some still did not do what they told. Unbelievable disrespect!

    • @Tony-Plinkett
      @Tony-Plinkett ปีที่แล้ว +17

      It has nothing to do with 'manners' or the fact that the guard was a woman... It's just that everything is so haphazard, and poorly organized.
      One day they'll have one of the guards march over to souvenir stand (much further up from where this guard is), and yell repeated at everyone to get behind the second white line. Other times, the police on duty will do it. Kind of like in this video, but they would not have waited to the last minute...

      It was badly organised by the guard - it's up to them if they have one in "field dress uniform" (in this case fancy dress, adding a No2 dress hat) opening and closing gates and telling people what to do or three. In this case they opted for one, a small female with a quiet voice, with inevitable results. Not "disrespect" but just bad organisation and a lack of supervision.

      This is 2023, there is no excuse for tourists to not look up the protocol for the places they wish to visit. Anyone who will be visiting a country different from their own should WANT to look up information. I would think they don't want to make total idiots of themselves. Obviously, for many tourists, as long as they are happy, the number of peoples' toes, they step on, is not important everything is about them.

Most cell phones are capable of taking pictures and there are applications that can "read and translate" the signs. Also, last I knew, in just about any country, as long as you do not interfere with a current law enforcement issue, or interrupt a conversation they are having with someone, you can always ask a police officer. You could always type the words of the sign onto your cell phone online translator. If you can Google or Yahoo! or what ever your search engine is, just look up [translator from {Name of Language of Country You are visiting} translate to (Name of YOUR LANGUAGE)

    The police are as impressive as the guards. Remarkably tolerant of the few who deserve a less restrained approach.
