    That rain fly is awesome. Way better than the Koala 7 rain fly.

      yeah i not sure why the koala 7 rainfly doesnt have a stove jack, that would top it off nicely!!

    How well do these tents hold up, puncture proof?

    • @RTSoutdoor
      @RTSoutdoor  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm just beginning to use them myself, so I don't have experience enough to answer this personally, however, there are several channels on YT that use these RBM/Coody tents in some of the craziest rain, sleet, snow, and winds, and they appear to hold up very very well. One of those channels is called Fish13 if you'd like to check him out. According to the description on the website, this tent is puncture proof. I'm not sure to what degree, but I can tell you the canvas is heavy, and the pvc tubes that inflate, are VERY heavy and solid. So if you're thinking of things like sticks and stones naturally on the terrain, I don't see them puncturing it at all. Purposely stabbing it with a knife would be a different story lol.

    Windows leak like hell through the zippers during even a normal rain with or without the TPU windows. For the price, the tarp shouldn’t be needed during an average rain. LOGO side is the front.

    Nate, I love your content but I gotta ask, why all the product advertisements lately? We went from home improvements and adventures to just hearing about very expensive, niche items. I also noticed the name change. Maybe a new direction for the channel? I really enjoyed your other stuff. I learned a lot from ya with your home improvement and yard work stuff.

      Thank you, I do appreciate that you enjoyed that other content :) There are a few reasons for the change actually. First of all, we're just moving on to a new adventure. I miss tent camping, and I'm over RV travel because I'm tired of constantly pouring money into it to keep it running, and buying a new one doesnt solve that problem, as it is systemic, in the way horrible way they are built. Second, TH-cam works in mysterious ways. I've spent the last 6 years making the type of content you just described, and the system doesn't give it the time of day. It's ALOT of work to create that type of content, for it to get very minimal views, and make almost no money, and I mean literally about $300/month at best. Yes I enjoy the hobby of it, but it's still work, and I can't afford to do it free. For the entirety of this channel, YT has only ever pushed my review videos and let everything else just sit with minimal attention, literally through almost 1000 videos the system chooses the handful of reviews to push out to viewers, so I made the decision to focus more on product reviews, but I'm doing it with that focus mainly on camping products, so I can also make actual camping videos, and it will be considered one genre by YT. It's hard to explain the way the system works but in a nutshell, they want your channel to focus on one category.

      @@RTSoutdoor It's a smart business move to do what you're doing, and I completely understand it. It makes me sad to hear there was so little reward in making the videos you were doing. You were really great at it. Still are! But sounds like it just wasn't sustainable enough. I'll still support ya no matter which direction you end up going :) I really do appreciate the candidness though.

    Would it REALLY be so hard to make a tent you can stand up in….other than the middle of the room. NO.

      I have to say I totally agree with you on this lol, this tent is awesome but yes those walls are SO low. The Koala 7 is much bigger.
